About Terri Schur
Gary and I love Hawaii. We return there every year to relax. Before we do relax, we always shop for new linens, kitchen supplies, and decor. Gary is retired from teaching at a public school, but still teaches public health at the local university. I am still teaching health and life science at the public schools so we can only go to Hawaii during the summer to visit our home away from home. We know that others will go and enjoy our home while we can only live vicariously through them. We call Southern California our home, for now. We have five dogs and a bird. Yes, we love animals and miss them all terribly when we are in Hawaii. We have traveled extensively through out the world, but nothing beats Hawaii for beauty and relaxation. Please come, and enjoy Hawaii. We will help you plan your trip and make sure you enjoy every minute.
Why Terri Schur chose Kihei
Kihei Akahi is across from one of the best beaches in Hawaii, and definitely on Maui. Here, we can relax, enjoy the tidepools, watch the whales play from the shore, enjoy the beautiful sunsets, and walk in the sand to our hearts content. Our condo makes for easy access to the pool, the beach, to restaurants, and to evening walks. What more could we ask for!
What makes this condo unique
Our home in Hawaii is quiet and peaceful. Close enough to the ocean to walk to every evening to watch the sunset. We enjoy the safety of the island, too. The people are friendly and there are plenty of dogs on the beach to watch play and romp in the water. We love to go in the winter to watch the whales. Sitting on the beach, or driving the coast, we can see whales breach, show off their flukes, or spy hop without going out on a boat. Snorkeling and scuba are easy to do from shore, so the price doesn't get expensive for these activities. Maui is joy to us, and one day we hope to make it a year round home. Come and enjoy!
Guestbook comments from the owner
The Kihei Akahi
My husband and I arrived in Maui – our first time back there in many years – and were eager to see what our accomodation, booked over the internet, would be like.
The setting was impressive – beautifully kept grounds surrounded us as we eased the car into our numbered spot.
Our condo was bright and airy. Sunny yellow and soft blue walls echoed the sunshine outdoors, the floors were light wood and the furniture was comfortable. The fully stocked kitchen was small, but efficient, with lots of dishes and utensils available. An enticing cookbook sat on the counter, for anyone so inclined to whip up delicious Hawaiian treats. The full-sized gas stove was very efficient, and the dishwasher made cleaning up easy.
The washer and dryer in the unit was a very welcome bonus!
With three adult family members, plus a baby, next door, we had a few meals, “at home” together, and found that our table and chairs were perfect for the occasions.
A large king sized bed promised a good night’s sleep, after a busy day in the sun and surf!
The cupboards were stocked with clean linens and towels, as well as picnic hampers and other beach accessories, and even included a baby stroller.
A short walk led to the beautiful beach, with all the sand and surf anyone could want!
We enjoyed the large screen TV in the evenings, especially the Maui channel, which showed all the wonderful things Maui has to offer the visitors. We also noticed there was a computer cable hook-up available at no charge.
We could step out our front door and across the grass to the gated swimming pool, an area which held two large barbeques and lots of lounge chairs
It is very apparent that the owners of this condo are proud of their vacation home, and want others to feel the same. They have succeeded very well!
