We have two self catered properties , Chalet Marmotte and Chalet Chamios. They are situated next to each other in the small hamlet of Villarabout, which is one mile from the centre of St Martin de Bellville. Both chalets were designed, constructed and furnished to a very high standard in 1998 and since then have been maintained to the same high standard for your comfort and enjoyment. Large lounge diners with real log fires, large sofas, easy chairs, television, videos, music centre, games and wifi internet connection all combine to make your stay an enjoyable one. Large balconies allow you to enjoy the splendid views of St Martin and the mountains even at night with your after dinner drink

The Accommodation is set up for 13 persons (this can be increased to 15) in 4 ensuite bedrooms and one room with own shower and toilet on next floor. Top Floor - Large family room with one double bed and two single beds, ensuite shower and its own balcony. Middle Floor triple room with ensuite shower and double doors on to own balcony. Ground Floor - two twin bedrooms with ensuite baths and WCs. Bunk bedroom with own shower toilet just up the stairs. This room is smaller than the other bedrooms but the beds are full size and to the same standard. Large lounge diners with real log fires, large sofas, easy chairs, television, videos, music centre and games all combine to make your stay an enjoyable one. Large balconies allow you to enjoy the splendid views of St Martin and the mountains even at night with your after dinner drink as one of the mountains is lit up. A fully equipped kitchen with dish washer washing machine, micro wave, oven, fridge freezer and all linen is provided.

The perfect stay

Just wanted to say we had a fantastic week up in Villarabout and your chalet was perfect. It's so spacious and as you said we had a lot of sun right up until the end of the day. Really lovely.

Thank you for having opened up the 6th bedroom which served us admirably and for having come over from the UK to sort the chalet out for us. It means a lot more when you meet the owners of where you're staying - it gives it a soul.

We never needed to call on your neighbours opposite although we always waved and it was reassuring to know they were there if we needed them.

Again, many thanks for letting out your chalet to us. We really enjoyed our stay and Dave and I always find it hard to leave the Alps but we always look forward to the next stay. If you haven't sold I'd hope we'd have the opportunity to rent it out again.

cracking holiday - great accommodation

I am loath to write this review as it may make the booking of my next holiday there more difficult.
We have stayed at the chalet twice and thoroughly enjoyed it - very comforatble, convenient and set in a lovely quiet hamlet a 15 min walk from St Martin

A lovely holiday in chalet Chamois

We had a great time in chalet Chamois.We were with 14 adults and there was plenty of space for all of us and for the cars. Lovely to have your own bathroom and toilet with each bedroom. Having our meals at the great dining table.And the nice fire in the fireplace. A fully equiped kitchen, but cooking for 14 people was not always easy. This is the reason why we didn't give 5 stars. The cooker was not large enough to make an easy dinner for 14,so we had to improvise.But we always succeed in making a lovely dinner.
Skiing from St Martin the Belville is great, not to busy in the morning and always a free parking place.Good shops for renting skis and a good supermarket.
When you take two lifts ,one cabin and a chairlift, you can go left to Meribel and Courchevel, and to the right to Les Menuires and Val Thorens.
We would recommend this Chalet to all our friends, and we would like to come next year.

Fantastic holydays

We had a fantastic week in your chalet with our friends. The chalet was perfect : very well equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, hair dryer ...), comfortable and warm. We were 10 and we appreciated having our own bathroom and toilet with our room. We could easily park our cars just next to the chalet. The weather was very sunny during all the week long : everything was perfect.

Nous avons passé une formidable semaine dans votre chalet avec nos amis. Le chalet était parfait : bien équipé (lave vaisselle, machine à laver, séche-cheveux...), confortable et bien chauffé. Nous étions 10 et nous avons apprécié pouvoir bénéficier d'une salle de bains par chambre. Nous avons pu garer nos voitures juste à côté du chalet. Le temps a été ensoleillé toute la semaine bref tout était parfait.

The chalets are in the pretty hamlet of Villarabout 1 mile from the centre of Saint Martin de Bellville the gateway to the three valleys ski area . This beautiful Savoyarde village still combines the charm of a traditional farming village yet is often referred to as the gateway to the three valleys, but we refer to it as a skier’s paradise. The reason for this terminology is due to the fact that the access into the three valleys is superb. The three valleys have over 600 kilometres of prepared pistes and famous resorts such as Courchevel, Meribel, Mottaret and Val Thorens: this has to be the best ski area in the world. The slopes into St Martin are blue and red, so they are ideal for beginners. The local area has extensive off piste areas, which are ideal for skiers and snowboarders. Snow canons and the local piste conditioning machines ensure that the slopes are kept

Of course in the summer then mountain biking ,walking ,horse riding ,tennis and rafting are available as well

We are near several hill climbs of the Tour de France and its a good area to train for cycle races .

We are only 90 minutes from beutiful town ofAnnercy and its 18 kilometer lake with wonderful swimming and sailing and paragliding opertunites . Or just take a ride on the lake steamers .

Other Activities: snow boarding, dog sledging, archery, skating, table tennis

Ski: The Skiing

St Martin de Belleville is often referred to as the gateway to the three valleys, but we refer to it as a skiers paradise. Ski School - Situated by the chairlifts and caters for all standards of skiers and snowboarders.The ski school also offers crèche facilities and infant ski school.
