Amidst the scenic forest 16 miles east of Payson, a short 90 miles north of Phoenix, this modern cabin is completely equipped to allow you and your loved ones to fully enjoy all the beauty Arizona has to offer. Located at Kohl’s Ranch, the cabin rests on a scenic hillside, just above Tonto creek. Five minutes out the front door you can enjoy fishing in the routinely stocked creek, hiking along the mountain trails, or play in the tall wooded forest. After a day of activity, curl up on the couch in the comfortable living room and enjoy a movie from the library of DVD's or through the satellite TV. During winter, relax in the warmth of the wood burning stove. Cook a homemade meal in the fully equipped kitchen or enjoy one of the various local restaurants. Nearby Payson offers modern dining, grocery stores, shopping, and a movie theater. There are various lakes within a short driving distance, as well as Sunrise ski resort. The location is simply breathtaking regardless of the season.

Payson information: Payson is a historic town which was founded in 1882. It has a small town feel with modern amenities such as shopping, a movie theater and chain restaurants. It is at the heart of Arizona's Rim Country and has beautiful weather all year round. It provides a great escape from the summer heat and also provides breathtaking snow covered wilderness in the winter.

More local activities: An activity book in the cabin provides details for many local hiking trails of various difficulty levels. Horseback riding available at nearby Kohl's Ranch, a 15 minute walk, or a 5 minute drive from the cabin. There lakes stocked with various fish a short 20 minute drive away. If you are more interested in creek fishing, that can be found at Tonto creek which is only 100 feet away. Hike along the creek to find that special spot for fishing or relaxation.

Ski: Sunrise ski resort offers 65 different ski runs that will entertain visitors of all skill levels. They offer all varieties of winter sports and is actually quite pleasant to visit during the off season.

Our whole family loved the house as soon as they walked into it! The kids were so happy to have the Tonto creek to play in, just across the street, we could hardly keep them away from it.
We love the cool days and cooler mornings, it was just great!

Beautiful, modern creekside cabin in the woods

This was perfect. You will lack nothing. Just bring the food you want to eat, because this place has everything else you will need for a comfortable stay.
I am so glad this was available for us, because with three energetic young children, and a toddler, it would have been a disaster for us to stay in a hotel for three days.
