Located on the famous Indian River, a part of the Michigan inland water way, you are only a fifteen minute boat ride from Burt lake and a 30 minute ride to Mullet lake. Walk to downtown for dinner or an ice cream cone. If you are a winter sports fan you can ride your snowmobile to the trail directly from the door. Skiing at Boyne or Nubs Nob is only 30 minutes away.

Great Location/Great Place!!

We stayed here with two adult couples for a long weekend in July of 2008. Very nice b/c we each had our own bedroom/bathroom on each side with the kitchen/livingroom in between. Would be a great spot with kids too. The place is way nicer than the photos show it to be. Take your bikes, the path is great! Plenty to do and places to go out to eat in the area. You can walk to town. Loved the kayaking (do the long route). We plan to make this trip an annual event. You will not be dissapointed! The area and restaurants are very casual, so do yourself a favor and leave the dress up clothes at home. Being right on the water is a huge plus. We took our PWCs along. Hal has two lifts, so they were very secure on the seawall. Plenty of padding. The hot tub was an added bonus we didn't think we'd use, but we had some cool nights that made it perfect. Plus, it was so fun to watch boats go by while we sat in there with a glass of wine. Hal and his wife are the sweetest people and extremely helpful if you have any questions. Don't hesitate to rent this place. (I promised I'd give a good review, but I'd rather keep it a secret for myself!)

Excellent Location

This cottage is well worth the money... Property was clean and the owner provided excellent customer service. The cottage was right on the river great for swimming and watching the boats. We had nine people in the cottage and we were very comfortable.

My family and I stayed a week. It was even better than described. It had everything a family needed for vacation.
Bedding, towlels, kitchen fully stocked, soap, on and on.
Right on Indian river with a large dock, keep life jackets on small children!!!!!!
The cabin was clean and the owner very friendly, he would get you anything you needed. We walked to town and are only 20 min. from Macinaw Bridge. Bring bikes, a trail 1 min.away. Great place.

Pictures do not do this property justice. It is larger than it appears and is very clean. Everything was very taken care of. The owners where great to deal with. We HIGHLY recommend!
