La Casita de Aguada - The deserted unspoiled sandy beaches, palm trees & soft breezes make it a perfect vacation get-away! Come stay in our fully furnished home – ½ block from the ocean with local neighborhood flavor! For 8 continuous years, we have had a great time loving our home in Aguada and having such fun sharing it with you - all of my loyal returnees and those stopping by for the first time.
The fishermen will be happy to sell you part of the day’s catch of fresh fish! After a day at the beach, wander off to one of the neighborhood cantinas or restaurants for a taste of local culture. Need something yummy for breakfast? The local panaderia is only a short walk away. There are local bodegas to find your needed supplies and fresh baked goodies. Rustic and relaxed yet ready to provide all your needs.
La Casita de Aguada is our home away from home, but we can't be there all the time (yet). When we're not there, we would like to extend an invitation for you to enjoy our little slice of heaven!
I was born and raised in California. While my husband was stationed in Missouri (US Army), we got a hankering for the West Coast (NorCal). We visited Puerto Rico in 2004 - my sister has a great eco-vacation spot in Vieques (an island off the east coast of Puerto Rico) - and we realized that our vision of 'West Coast' can change. We returned to Puerto Rico the following month and were so fortunate to find La Casita de Aguada.
Valerie & Ron Harrison purchased this house in 2005
We were looking for the great beaches of Puerto Rico and a comfortable home in an authentic Puerto Rican neighborhood. We enjoy meeting the locals, not hanging with the tourists. We discovered this beautiful property 1/2 block from the beach. Perfect!
The beach, the rural feeling, the friendliness of the neighborhood make us return again and again. We love having the beach to ourselves. We enjoy local restaurants within a short drive or walk, getting home-made pastries and sandwiches at the panaderia and having a drink at the bodega, a block away. La Casita de Aguada has air conditioning, cable TV and access to a washer and dryer. It is a perfect spot to relax or to explore the local area ... Aguada, Rincon, Aguadilla, Moca.
Stayed here April 22-29 and had lots of fun. The house is in a nice neighborhood, inside the house looks so much better in person it was very clean and the property manager Jesus was amazing he was very helpful with everything, an a very nice man. Honestly i really would come back here again just because he made our stay that much better. Only thing that i would say was missing is a tv in the second room but it wasn't that big a problem considering we barely watched tv but still would be nice to watch tv before bed lol other than that loved staying here will be back next year
Let me start by saying that I have been to PR several hundreds of time throughout my life. That said, this was by far one of the best experiences I havr had in a long time. The house is located in a very calm neighborhood just seconds from the beach. The landlord is an exceptional human being, he, his wife and Family made our stay and experience a memorable one to say the least. My only regret is that I didn't have more time. Overall, I would recommend this experience and rental to everyone.
We had a great time and have already recommended this place to our friends. Keep it up!
Plenty of room, nice kitchen, helpful manager next door, one block from beach, ten minutes north of Rincon
A friend and I escaped the first big Boston blizzard during our wonderful week in Aguada (and Rincon) at Casita de Aguada Jan. 24-31. We really enjoyed the rental--pretty much exactly as it appears on the website. I would emphasize that it is a neighborhood (which we really liked), complete with barking dogs and crowing roosters, so if that's not your thing you may not like it. But this was not a problem for us, and only once did the dogs interfere with our sleep in the early morning. The beach, only half a block away, is beautiful. While we were there the surf was pretty big, making for great viewing but not great swimming. We explored other beaches in the area for swimming--but this beach is excellent for walking and hanging out (and a perfect place to enjoy your first cup of coffee of the day!).
Property manager Jim and his wife are right next door, almost always home and willing to help out with whatever you might need. In our case, he provided us with a couple Medallas our first night, since we got in so late and were too exhausted to go in pursuit of a drink! House was very clean, nicely equipped, and bed in the master bedroom is wicked comfortable (the other double bed is less so, but OK). I recommend this rental, very close to Rincon but sited away from the tourist stuff. What a great place to spend a week! I can understand why people go back again and again..... Oh yes, there's an outdoor shower which is a big plus!!!
This house was very nice and cozy! I stayed four nights and this was a last minute find as we had a family emergency. The owner Valerie was very nice! This house was just how it was described. The house was clean and well maintained. I love the fact that we had a Master bath and the girls had their own bathroom too! You are steps away from the beach!! I enjoyed my stay and had no issues at all. The property manager was always available and courteous as well. I would definitely rent this home again and I would recommend this property to family and friends. For me and my family it was a great experience. A big Thank You to Valerie for accommodating my family and I at the last minute and making sure things went smoothly!!!
Nearby attractions, besides the surf practically lapping your toes, are the nearby towns of Rincon, Aguadilla, and Mayaguez. Food, drink, music and fun are just down the road. Pack up the car and head for the observatory in Arecibo, casinos in Mayaguez, the bioluminescent bay at Cabo Rojo, wander the towns, meet the people, chill. You'll find me out in the water!
