Our River:
The house is situated on a pristine tidal river offering opportunities to dig up quahogs and clams. Fishing opportunities abound. Striped bass, fluke and blue fish are available depending on time of year. All seafood is safe to eat. By canoe or kayak you can explore the river one mile to the west where there is a dam with fish ladder, situated below the birthplace of Nathaniel Greene, who spent his childhood in the Forge, making anchors and preparing for his role as General George Washington's right-hand man. Less than a mile the other way from the cottage to the East brings you to beautiful Narragansett Bay, now designated as a nationally significant estuary.
