5 BR/3BA Lake Home (built in 2008) on beautiful Wynne Lake with spectacular views of Giants Ridge Golf and Ski Resort. This is a 2,750 sq. ft. custom cedar home is designed for family fun. Just a 5 minute drive to the slopes or the top-rated Legend’s and Quarry golf courses. The main-floor master bedroom has a King sized bed and wonderful master bathroom with a Jetted Tub and separate shower. 3 large bedrooms on the lower level with Queen Beds and down comforters. The fifth bedroom is huge and is set up for KIDS, with plenty of room to play!

Enjoy the fully-equipped kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, hickory cabinets, pantry and breakfast bar. Relax in the Great Room by the fire taking in the lake views, the beautiful sunsets or enjoying the 52' HDTV & home theater. Unwind in the family room watching movies or sitting by the fire. Enjoy the large cedar deck and screen porch the large dock for all your water toys. The attached, heated, 2-car garage is great in the winter and the Wireless broadband throughout the property will keep you connected.

There is a wonderful 3-season cedar screen porch and an expansive cedar deck overlooking the shoreline. The main level also has a half bath, laundry room with front-loading washer and dryer, and a mud room off the garage.

Voyageurs Retreat: This beautiful home sits in an amazing new development which you will just love. All the homes are built to conform to strict architectural guidelines to complement the natural surroundings and to add to the overall beauty of this area. All roads are paved. The home has city utilities (water and sewer), natural gas, high speed internet, digital cable tv, phone. The entire development is beautifully landscaped with dramatic lighting, hiking trails, common swimming beaches with day-use canoes and picnic areas.

Our home sits on a beautiful and peaceful 2.1 acre lot with 335 feet of shoreline and lots of white pines, maples and birch. There is also a wonderful outdoor gathering area surrounding a large fire-ring for great times relaxing around a warm, crackling fire.

Why crowd yourselves into a condo or hotel room, when you can stay in a 5 bedroom private home for the same price (or even less)? This home was built to be a place where you could enjoy spending quality time together, with lots of recreational opportunities.

Our family stayed in the home many times and created our own memories. When the original owners were looking for a new family to own the home - we leapt at the chance.

Mel and I have been sharing our lives for over 10 years. We have a great blended family of 4 children, a son and daughter in-law and 3 incredible grandchildren (so far).

We have a very active lives with many passions - one of which is time well spent with our family up at the lake.

Mel and I took our family to this home many times and always felt so at home. When the family that originally built it decided to sell - they asked if we'd be interested in purchasing and we leapt at the opportunity.

Giants Ridge is unique because it is one of only two areas in the entire country where you can ski, golf and be on a lake at the same location. There are tons of recreational options available, all within the local area. Giants Ridge offers two of the finest public golf courses in the country (The Quarry & The Legend) and the ski resort is one of the best in the mid-west. Road and Mountain biking, hiking, swimming, ATV riding, snowmobile riding, cross country and downhill skiing, snowboarding, fishing, Frisbee golf, sight-seeing, just to name a few.

What makes this house unique

The house was specifically designed for groups and families to enjoy time away together. You will find plenty of room to all be together or have space to have private time. We love hanging out on the dock; sitting by a roaring fire or enjoying the sunset from the deck or porch after a day playing in the outdoors. This home will exceed your expectations.

This home is located near Biwabik, Minnesota (approximately 3 hours north of the Twin Cities) and is across Wynne Lake from the Giants Ridge Golf and Ski Resort. A short drive around the lake takes you to the slopes for downhill, cross country, snowboarding or to two of Minnesota's best public golf courses, the 'Legends' and the 'Quarry.' The renowned 'Wilderness' golf course (rated #1 in Minnesota) at Fortune Bay Resort and Casino is less than 1 hour away.

Just out our front door you’ll have opportunity to road and mountain bike; hike; cross country ski and just go for a great walk. The fantastic, 140 mile Mesabi paved bike trail runs just north of our home offering some of the most beautiful rides through forests and ponds.

Close access to endless snowmobile and ATV trails. Tons of great recreational and fishing lakes within a 10 mile radius including the pristine beauty and gorgeous ridgelines of our own Wynne Lake; rated as a class-5 walleye lake.

We had a great time and would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a beautiful setting, great accomodations, and activities for all seasons. We (5 couples) really enjoyed the beautiful lake and the close proximity of fantastic golf! The house was perfect for us and very well equipped. It was also great to have the central air with different zones to accomodate all of our preferences. The screened 3 season room was also nice for relaxing without bugs! The fire pit area was a routine evening gathering place for our group. I look forward to staying here again!

Awesome Anchor Pointe

We had an absolute wonderful time on a winter vacation at Anchor Pointe. It is a beautiful house along picturesque Lake Wynne up in the north woods. It met all our needs: plenty of bedrooms, spacious great room, well equipped kitchen, big screen tv, wifi and attached garage. We even used the gas grill on the deck. It snowed 8 inches one night creating a winter wonderland and allowing us to hit some of the plentiful neighborhood trails with our snowshoes. It is only 10 minutes from Giants Ridge ski resort which with both alpine and nordic skiing is one of the better ski areas in the Midwest. We will be back!

Beautiful quiet setting.

Our stay at Anchor point was very relaxing and enjoyable. The listing description was very accurate. In the winter with snowy roads it was about an 8 minute trip over to the Giants Ridge ski area. We were able to take the kids swimming at the lodge, go skiing, and snow tubing. There are 2 restaurants at Giants Ridge that we ate at and if you are looking for pizza Vi's Pizza in Biwabik is very good! There is also a grocery store in Biwabik and the kitchen was very well stocked to make dinner at the house. The upstairs bedroom/bonus room was great for the kids as they had their own place to play. The owner was very easy to reach if you had any questions. I would definately recommend this home to anyone who enjoys the outdoors whether summer, winter, spring or fall.

Great home for a great weekend

We spent a weekend at Anchor Pointe and had a wonderful time. It is just a few minutes drive from Giants Ridge. We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. It was very easy to adjust the thermostats and find all of the light switches.

We had 13 people here, plenty of room for everyone to eat dinner together at the table, lots of room for all of the cooks in the kitchen.

Bedrooms were all quite spacious and cozy. The four teenage girls loved having their own "dorm room" upstairs away from the adults. WIFI was a big hit with them also.

We made use of all the different social areas; puzzles on the downstairs game table, cribbage in the family room, wine and reminiscing in the great room.

The owners were very accommodating to all of our questions and requests. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend home.

The checkout procedure was easy to follow.

I brought my girlfriend and all 6 of our children. It was the first time we had spent any time together. We had a blast. there was plenty of room and we were able to cook and eat our meals together. Very picturesce in the winter. I would definatly take a group there.
