MISQUAMICUT BEACH CONDO - UNTOUCHED BY SANDY

My husband and I wanted to rent a beach house/condo for a week this summer. When we came across this rental, we were very interested as it offers the perfect amount of space for the two of us, plus two visitors. Upon arrival, everything was immaculate in the place. You can tell the owners care and they really have provided most everything you could need during your stay!

There were plenty of linens, including bath towels, for our week's stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with essential items. We used the grill during our stay and enjoyed sitting outside at the covered picnic tables. There were DVD players in both the living area and bedroom that we used on a rainy day =)

In terms of the area, it was very convenient to be able to walk down to the state beach and the restaurants. We went to Paddy's a few times, and actually left the "refillable" glasses at the house for future guests to enjoy =) We spent a day at the Fireman's beach (using the pass that is provided) and also went down to Watch Hill several times. The best meal we had, by far, was at the Matunuck Oyster Bar (http://www.rhodyoysters.com/), which is about 20 mintues away in Matunuck, RI. Definitely worth the drive! We also had a delicious breakfast at The Cooked Goose in Westerly.

Overall, we had a great time! Our friends that visited us during our stay are planning to rent the condo next year!

This condo is a great place to stay, and is very well maintained and spotless. The air conditioning throughout was a very welcome feature as were the nice, large windows with privacy shades. The kitchen has plenty of storage and counter space as well as three stool for the counter "bar." This condo is within walking distance to Misquamicut beach, and only 3 miles from Watch Hill beaches. Additionally, there are amenities such as supermarkets, cinemas and laundromats within 4 miles. Nice bath towels and other linens are provided as is an iron and board just in case. The only thing this condo doesn't have is a washing machine/dryer, but as mentioned the laundromat is minutes away.

One thing worth mentioning is that you are on a main road to the beach so the road does get quite busy; however, you can simply walk to the beach, and if you are going in the opposite direction to Watch Hill or the shops, etc. it is of no consequence. And, because this condo is set back from the road the traffic is not a noise menace. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with two kids or less. We will go back!

This was the perfect rental for my beach getaway. It is very clean and comfortable. Just the right size for one person or a couple. Easy parking. Easy walk to Misquamicut State Beach and Maria's Seaside Cafe. 3 miles from Watch Hill's cute shops, harbor, and beach. I even spent a day at Block Island, which was an easy drive from the condo. Overall a perfect vacation spot.
