Kayaking paradise:
Property is located between 'Big Bluff' and 'Little Bluff' on the eastern side of the Alburgh peninsula, just north of Dillenbeck Bay. From the shore the entire Green Mountains are visible, as is Hog Island, North Hero State Park and Maquam Bay. Shoreline is completely undeveloped. Great canoeing, birding, fishing and kayaking. Missisquoi Wildlife refuge is a ten-minute car ride away.
Wildlife:
Wildlife regularly seen on property include deer, fisher, muskrat, beaver, great blue herons, osprey, ducks, loons, bald eagles, fisher, turkey, racoon, geese, grouse, bittern, and wide variety of songbirds. Unlike many other Lake Champlain rentals, there is only one occupied dwelling within 200 yards of house. Very private.
Other activities:
The Champlain Islands are famous for biking. Winter activities on property include snowshoeing, x-country skiing, ice skating, sledding. Four season hiking/running walking trails. No black flies. Near Parc Safari, St. Anne's Shrine, Alburgh Dunes, and one hour to Montreal. Many local restaurants, antique shops, etc.
