Enjoy total privacy on your own 13 acres just 1.5 miles from the center of the beautiful town of Woodstock. This architect designed 3500 square foot home is filled with windows and skylights so you never forget you are surrounded by acres of streams, waterfalls, and woods.
Our gourmet kitchen has everything you'll need. Sub Zero, GE Profile double oven, warming drawer, professional gas stove, and granite and wood countertops.
A custom built blue stone patio and pergola run the length of the south side of the house and French doors from the kitchen, living room and master bath open up to the outdoor patio where you can barbeque, sunbathe, or just relax and take in the scenery.
The wood floors are heated by radiant heat in the cooler months with a back up air handler system and in the summer you have central air with multiple zones. The master bedroom suite is on the first floor and three other large bedrooms are on the second floors. Quality bedding and amenities assure a comfortable stay.
The house is difficult to photograph because most rooms have windows on three wall so that there will always be light in the room. Custom painted in beautiful soft colors you will not find a more peaceful relaxing house.
We just returned from Gail's house in Woodstock. This is our 7th time renting upstate, and this is by far the most amazing home we have stayed in. It's absolutely perfect.
The house is IMMACULATE. The cleanest rental home I have ever stayed in. I walked around in my white socks and they were still perfectly white by the end of the night. All the linens and towels were freshly cleaned and fluffed, all the dishes and glasses were spotless.
The photos on the listing don't do the home justice. It's bigger and brighter and cozier than the photos can possibly depict. I very thoroughly enjoyed the GIANT soaking tub all three nights of my stay. The tub was more than large enough for 2 people to fit comfortably. Ending each evening with a glass (bottle) of wine, soaking in the giant tub next to the open windows letting in the crisp fresh air, and looking at the view of the moon over the trees was simply breathtaking. And starting every morning with the steam shower was fantastic!
Although I didn't cook over the weekend, the kitchen was amazing. Double ovens, top notch appliances, every thing you could possibly need was stocked in this home.
The property was huge and beautiful. So private and serene. My husband, myself and our pup explored a little bit of the property every day. It even has streams and waterfalls! Could it be any more perfect?
Wifi worked great which was really important for us since we needed to work over the weekend a bit. And when we weren't absorbed in our all-too-attached-to-our-hip electronics and work e-mails, the board games were great to have! Boggle, trivial pursuit, cash cab, etc.
Gail was an absolute pleasure to work with. She immediately answered all of my e-mails and questions (and I had a lot of them!) with prompt, thorough and friendly replies. She's a sweetheart and really a great person to rent from.
Super secluded, yet really close to town, just a 7 minute drive to Tinker Street in Woodstock. We had a FANTASTIC dinner at Cucina which was just 7 minutes away. Highly recommended.
I can ramble on another 5 paragraphs, but you get the idea. Can't imagine anyone not having an amazing stay. Such a fantastic getaway from the craziness of Bergen County and NYC. So sad to leave, but we will definitely be returning.
Thank you so much gail for a memorable weekend in your gorgeous home.
We reserved the house for 2 nights, but I wish we had stayed longer... I didn't want to leave! The home was clean, comfortable and very well-stocked. All the amenities were enjoyed -- we cooked great meals in the kitchen, grilled burgers and sausages outdoors, used the central air-conditioning when the rooms got a little stuffy, listened to music which played in most rooms of the house (including the patio complete with accent lighting). Oh, and congregating by the fireplace made for an excellent way to end each evening!
When I awoke on Saturday morning, the first thing I did was peer out the window and to my surprise I saw 2 wild turkeys cruising around the property. The location is remote and peaceful and the home is large and lovely. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely, eclectic home. Three adult couples were very comfortable and had plenty of privacy when desired. The home was very clean, the kitchen was modern & well-equipped, with high-end appliances. The property was beautiful and very secluded, yet very convenient to town. The photos do not do the house justice. Gail was extremely helpful, answered all of our questions, and offered numerous restaurant suggestions. We enjoyed every establishment she recommended. We wouldn't hesitate to return to this home in the future.
My family and I have just returned from our 3rd stay at this wonderful property. As other reviewer's have stated the photo's do not do this house justice, it is absolutely spectacular!
It is impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, has a superb layout and is very spacious. Everything you could possibly need you will find here. It's also a bonus that well behaved dogs are welcome.
The location is superb. We enjoyed HiTS, shopping in Saugerties and Woodstock, and foodies will appreciate the wonderful selection of farm to table restaurants in the area.
Gail is a pleasure to deal with and we all look forward to returning.
We had a fabulous stay at this house. This home is just amazing and a wonderful place to stay! I would highly recommend a stay here.
A group of us stayed at Gail's home for a weekend in January and could not have asked for a better experience. The home is beautiful; the photos and listing description are completely accurate, and in fact they do not do the property justice. The house is in excellent condition and has everything we needed for a weekend of R&R - with great living areas, an amazing stereo system with speakers throughout the house and patio, tons of outdoor space to explore with the dogs, and a fantastic kitchen with all the amenities. Gail was very easy to coordinate with and very helpful before and during our stay. Some of our group went into town on Saturday, but the rest of us just explored the property with its many streams and creeks and waterfalls. The house is also a perfect spot if attending Levon Helm's Ramble, which is a very short drive away. We hope to return again for another visit in the future.
