Kapolei rental

My husband, two young children and I, along with my mother-in-law and friend, stayed here for 4 nights after having spent 4 nights in Waikiki. It was a convenient location for us since my husband did a lot of his golfing on the west side of the island. We were also nearby Ko Olina where our friends had their wedding.
The home is in an older quiet middle-class neighborhood. My friend got to know one of the neighbors who has lived in her home for over 50 years. She was kind enough to give my friend mangos from her tree as well as 3 boxes of chocolate covered macadamia nuts before we left. There's a well stocked neighborhood grocery store that is within walking distance. It's a slight climb back to the house, but it wasn't too bad. I'm not in the best of shape, yet I had no problem with the walk. Just on the other side of the freeway is a Safeway as well as many restaurants.
The house is clean and spacious. As the previous reviewer stated, you do walk into a bedroom when you first enter the front door. But this open layout wasn't a problem for us. Perhaps having a dresser drawer in place of the large table would help with the storage issue in the front bedroom. The weather was cool, so we didn't need to use the A/C. Just having the windows open provided enough of a cool breeze. The part I liked best about the house was the kitchen. It's beautifully upgraded with all the conveniences you could ask for. We didn't do a lot of cooking, so I can't say we put the kitchen to good use, but it was nice to have the option. The living room was comfortably furnished, and my husband enjoyed the big screen television.
Nita, the owner, was very responsive when we called regarding minor problem with the bathtub drain. Within a half hour of calling her, a plumber was at the front door and corrected the problem. She was very pleasant to deal with and made us feel welcome.
This place has a home away from home feel. All in all, we had a nice stay.
