Do you love to fall asleep to the sounds of the waves and wake up to a view of a spectacular sunrise over the ocean? This pristine oceanfront home sits only a few steps from the ocean and views of Block Island. A short path from the home spills onto a 3 mile sandy beach. Three bedrooms, a beautiful new kitchen with breakfast bar, a living room, a dining area and spacious oceanfront decks on both levels complete the living space of this comfortable and relaxing home. The home also has views of beautiful salt water Ninigret pond where only steps away you can rent kayaks. Also within walking distance is a stone breachway popular for fishing. Perfect for a family or couples looking for a quiet escape. Charlestown Beach is a quiet community with a few restaurants, ice cream shops, galleries, flea markets and antique stores. Yet only 30 minutes away is the excitement and action of Newport and Foxwood’s casino. Also only 20 minutes away is the ferry from Narragansett to Block Island.

Charlestown Beach is a small, quiet town but with plenty to do in the area. Greater Charlestown has several casual restaurants, inns, ice cream shops, an excellent local supermarket, farm stands, antique stores, galleries, marinas, tennis courts, wildlife refuges, walking trails, parks and fishing spots. In nearby Narragansett and Westerly and other surrounding towns there are superb restaurants, movie theaters, gourmet shop, outstanding golf courses and public beaches, surfing and adventure parks (kiddie rides, water slides, batting cage, go carts, mini golf). You can also buy lobsters every afternoon right off the lobster boats as they come in. A 30 minute drive puts you in the excitement and fun of Newport and its sailing, mansions and restaurants or the Foxwood’s casino for gambling and first rate shows and bands. Or you could simply buy local fresh fish, put it on the BBQ and enjoy a bottle of wine and the ocean view from the deck or beach.

Other Activities: Mystic aquarium, miniature golf, go carts, batting cages

Golf: Good selection of 9 and 18 hole courses nearby. My favorites Pinecrest (9 holes) and Beaver River, Richmond Country Club and Lake of Isles (18 holes).

  • September is a great time to be at the Rhode Island shore as the crowds have died down and the water is at its warmest of the season. For those that aren't tied to the kids in school its a perfect time to get away and save versus the peak season.

This home is in an ideal location and is spacious, clean, bright. The layout is perfect for families, rooms are open and the sunrises and sunsets are unmatched. The beach is right outsde the door, and is exclusive, somewhat remote...perfect. Location Location Location, paired with all of the contemporary luxeries, technologies, and space you'd ever need.

We just came home from a wonderful weekend at this house!!!
It is on a quiet street right on the beach. There are great seafood markets very close and the prices are extremely fair.
We will be coming back to this house at the end of the summer!!!!
This place is a sure bet.

We stayed at this cottage for 2 nights at the end of August and we have a fantastic time! The location was perfect, the house was beautiful, and the weather was spectacular!! I wish we could have stayed longer and we will definitlely want to come back again next season!!!

My wife and I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights with our 4-year old son. The house and location on Charlestown Beach are fantastic - we only wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful Week at the Beach

My wife and I with our two teenagers spent the week here in mid-June 2010, and had a most restful time. Our activities included: bicycling through the seaside community, walking on the beach looking for stones washed in by the sea, swimming, building sand castles, building puzzles, listening to the ocean, cooking lobsters, flying a kite, playing baseball on the beach, and the list goes on. My wife and daughter spent much of there time catching rays, and my son and I found the golf course north of town.

Time doesn't seem to catch up with you here, until the week is gone and its time to head back home. We all hope that we can make it back here again.
