The Perfect Location!: Everyone needs to escape the tedious routine of the ordinary from time to time, but if you’re going to escape from the ordinary, make it Extraordinary! More than a destination, “Lake Escape” is sure to become a coveted haven for those who want a soft place to land, within an easy and scenic 2 hour drive from Atlanta. Conveniently located within a mile of the Fairgrounds and walking distance to town yet off the main road, so there’s no traffic sounds; Only the gentle breezes coming off the lake and the occasional gaggle of Canadian geese stopping off on their migratory trail (they know all the best spots). Perfect for a romantic getaway, a fun-filled retreat for a small family, or good times shared with best friends, and one of only 11 villas, new in 2005, yours is a choice corner unit with unobstructed view of the Lake and Mountains and it's almost at the end of the road, so it's a road seldom traveled, safe & quiet.
The Perfect Floorplan!: There are 2BR's & 2BA's. The Master suite has a King sized bed while the 2nd has a Queen. The great room features vaulted ceilings, a stacked stone, gas-log fireplace, and a bevy of windows assuring a cheery sunlit atmosphere with a stunning view of the lake and mountains any time of year. The décor throughout is best described as “casual elegance” with careful attention to comfort and convenience in every respect. There’s a charcoal grill for cookouts and a little covered porch just outside your door. Evenings invite you to entertain in style with the ambient warmth & glow from the fireplace and the old English style bar** & stools just off a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. There’s a full sized washer & dryer as well, so you won’t have to worry about running out of clean clothes if you decide to extend your stay (as you surely may wish to do). Bring your laptop (if you cannot bear to be separated from it). ** We are a 'dry' county, beer & wine purchased Mon - Sat only. BYOB
A Word to Boaters:: The lake is right across from the property and while this particular unit does not come with dock privileges, you could easily launch your boat from the nearby public boat ramp and trailer it (there's lots of room to park it behind your unit). Many choose to rent a small boat, jet skis or kayaks by the hour or day, which are just as easily put in from the shoreline; While some just want to sit on the dock and fish or relax and enjoy the view. There are local jet-ski rental places that will bring them to you, check you out on their use and safety rules, then pick them up when you're through; they even supply the life vests! (This takes a lot of the stress out of hauling them around) * Lake levels not guaranteed - please call ahead to confirm! For larger groups of up to 10, you may want to rent both this place and the one right next door, which comes with a covered boat slip as well! See listing # 185935.
