We have just completed renovating the first of the Lotus Cottages.
The first of the LotusCottages is a charming historic beach cottage built in 1922 and lovingly restored in 2007. This 'new old house' is fully wood paneled.
The cottage sleeps up to four people comfortably.
Included are two wonderful decks and a modern gourmet kitchen

This very special, 1922 knotty pine paneled, Sears and Roebuck beach kit cottage was lovingly restored in 2007. It was designed to accommodate San Diego's extraordinary year-round weather.
In the front is a private gated yard elevated above the street and bordered with palm trees. Here you can enjoy a morning coffee in our beautiful and comfortable wicker chairs.
A delightful gourmet kitchen awaits you just inside the front door and includes two under-the-counter refrigerators, an under-the-counter freezer, a Jenn Air range and a microwave. The large counter space and tall stools on the opposite side create a fun and interactive place to eat.
The entire cottage is surrounded by 280 degrees of deck, has keyless entry and there’s even a hidden stackable washer and dryer just off the back patio.
If you appreciate true craftsmanship, you will love this cottage. No matter where you are in this cozy abode you will feel relaxed.
Some History on our Beach Cottage:
100 years ago, the ground underneath LotusCottages was the beach. In 1918, an amusement park, Wonderland Park, was located here. The cottage sits on the ground which was formerly the concrete pad around the Wonderland Park Carousel. In 1922, three beach cottage kits were erected on Lotus Street. Today, these cottages are some of the oldest Ocean Beach structures.
