Our location is perfect for exploring Sonoma County, and yet it is a wooded oasis on over 1/3 acre in the heart of Jack London’s Valley of the Moon. From the property you can walk to 6 “world class” wineries and/or tasting rooms, with dozens more minutes away by car or bike.
The entire house can be rented for 4-6 people, or the apartment “only”-- for a romantic couples’ getaway. Look forward to a free bottle of Kenwood wine upon your arrival, to drink on your private deck overlooking a grape trellis with views to the Sonoma hills. Or take it out to the spa, which is surrounded by huge redwoods and other trees forming a shaded, natural canopy. The entire property is fenced to add to the privacy.
The area is a “biker’s paradise”. It has become a destination for those wanting to bike though some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. There are three wonderful restaurants: Cafe Citti, Doce y Lunas and the Kenwood Restaurant within walking distance. For a few minutes of driving try the Fig Café in Glen Ellen where you can bring your own bottle of wine with no corkage.
You can also walk to the Kenwood Village where there is a small grocery store, post office and a few shops. For those who want some special treatment, try the Kenwood Spa which is two minutes away and has been voted by Conte Nast as the “Best Spa in the World”.
This is a quiet village between Santa Rosa and Sonoma, 45 minutes to the pristine Sonoma Coast, over the hill to Napa Valley and an hour from San Francisco and the Bay Area. This particular property is a very convenient location for a relaxed or active getaway.
Within walking distance to 7 wine tasting rooms, minutes by car to 3 state parks, 20 minutes to Sonoma, 25 minutes to St. Helena. Our guests love the restaurants that are wihtin walking distance or not more than 10 minutes away by car.
