Architect-designed estate in serene, hidden neighborhood at 400 foot elevation in Pupukea, North Shore. Home is situated to take full advantage of the cooling tradewinds and panoramic ocean view. Close to World-class beaches; Waimea Bay 8 minutes, Shark's Cove 5 minutes, Three Tables 6 minutes, Pipeline 12 minutes, Sunset 15 minutes. The historic town of Haleiwa is 18 minutes. Waimea Falls is 10 minutes. All the attractions of Honolulu are with 45 minute drive, yet property is 'in the country'. Infinity edge pool offers ocean views (whale watching from deck November to March). Pool is also popular 'Bird bath' for native species found nowhere else.

Bali-inspired design: Home is 10 years old. It was designed and built to provide modern conveniences but give the ambiance of a Balinese compound. The second bedroom/bathroom suite is in its own structure, called the 'Rice House' after the traditional structure in a Balinese family compound used for storing harvested rice. After the harvest is sold the space becomes guest quarters for visiting friends and family. Since the two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house two couples enjoy maximum provacy.

Blissful Bali home in Pupukea!

My husband and I had the most incredible time at this home. It was the perfect place to retreat to for 10 days; quiet, and extremely relaxing. The pool and jacuzzi were wonderful, we used it everyday. The entire house opens up, and there is a very indoor/outdoor feel. We had a few qecko friends come in and visit us, but they were harmless, and very interesting to look at.
This is a great house for one or two couples, and great for anyone who wants to be out of the hustle and bustle of Kam Highway. The beach is close and at most a 5min drive down the mountain.
We had a wonderful time.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Thank you for sharing your vacation experience with us. The quiet, tranquil ambience is what drew us originally to this relaxing property. We regret that we can't be there full time, but love sharing it with people who appreciate having their cares of the world melt away!

I've stayed there several times. It's the greatest tonic for stress. I go to melt away my stress and recharge my batteries. It puts me close to the world class surf beaches, but yet far enough away for quiet evenings and sunsets. I saw my first "green flash" there (It's real, not an "urban legend").
