'The Cottage' is a fabulous getaway. Not a bare bones cabin - beautiful upscale furnishings & decor. Our homes are not decorated with the usual rental furnishings but rather feature leather and upholstered furnishings, comfy mattresses & pillows, wool rugs, local artwork and decorative accessories. ALL THE COMFORTS OF HOME. We are particular and it shows. We pay attention to the details, meticulous housekeeping.
Get away and pamper yourself at the same time. Nothing finer than to come back after a nice hike or day exploring our beautiful area, put on comfy clothes, build a fire, grab a beverage of choice, and relax on the incredible timber framed deck.
Our renters tell us we've thought of everything... from walking sticks to wood for the fireplace and blankets to snuggle on cooler evenings by the fire. The gourmet kitchen is well equipped to cook (saving money on eating out). There's even a crockpot & popcorn popper, and think s'mores on the fire. Wireless Internet & DirecTV.
While the home sleeps 8 privately and is terrific for family get togethers it also works for just a couple wanting a romantic escape. It's a warm and comfortable home.

This home allows each couple or family privacy. Your comfort is more important to us than just taking a reservation. Bedrooms: a master on the main floor with a slate open shower, upstairs are two more bedrooms with private baths. The finished lower level is one large room with two twins & sofa, tv, table, & bath. Great as a guest suite for one couple or to separate the children from the adults. (*See details below for specific layout details).

Waterfalls Abound: You can spend weeks getting to them all. Beautiful falls within just a few miles of the house. Our activities Book will keep you busy for days, weeks or months!
Share the Expense of Vacation: Bring along another couple or two, or family and share expenses. Less than the cost of hotel rooms. Hotel rooms shared with your children can be stressful, and eating out every meal gets expensive, you'll save by being able to eat in and pack a picnic.
We love multigenerational families getting together at the house and therefore it is suitable for children, but we don't provide cabinet door locks or baby gates so it is not suitable for toddlers.
Layout Detail: the main floor is one large room - living area, dining & open kitchen. There is a Master Bedroom with en suite bath off the kitchen area. a powder room is off the entry/foyer. The ceiling in the main living area is vaulted to the second floor and there is an open staircase that leads to the second floor bedrooms. You can look over the railings into the living area below. The two bedrooms upstairs are private (not lofts) each with an en suite bath. The basement/lower level is finished and works great for children as it becomes 'their' space with TV, bathroom, table & chairs, DVD, 2 twins and a sofa. The stairway leading to the lower level is enclosed and the entire lower level is carpeted. The rest of the house features wood floors.
