About Pam Pringle, Owner/Agent

We built this award winning home in 2006.

Pam Pringle, Owner/Agent purchased this house in 2006

Why Pam Pringle, Owner/Agent chose Franklin

We fell in love with area, it's such a central location. Franklin is a quaint small town with friendly people. We have terrific restaurants nearby. You can visit surrounding areas such as Asheville, Bryson City, Cherokee, The Smoky Mountain National Park, Sylva, Dillsboro. Hiking to waterfalls and taking scenic drives with a picnic is a couple of our favorite things to do.

What makes this house unique

The views are incredible and our area is such a quiet and serene spot to escape from the stresses and hectic schedule of city life. We travel ourselves and do our best to provide our guests with all the comforts of home. We've even thought of hiking sticks, coolers, picnic baskets and our activity books will keep you busy and coming back time and time again. So much to do, or do nothing!

Excellent Rental

  • 5 of 5

The Pond is an excellent rental home with everything you can possibly need at your disposal. Beautiful scenery, beautiful surroundings, and a beautiful home make it the perfect getaway. Nicely decorated with all the amenities you will need and offers complete privacy. Close proximity to Highlands and lots of hiking possibilities. We rented bikes at a local shop and enjoyed their beautiful park in their quaint town! Perfect for a quiet and relaxing escape!

Our Annual Family Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We are so blessed that we call The Pond our "Christmas Home" for the last six years. This beautiful home is perfectly appointed to allow us to relax and enjoy our time no matter what we choose to do. There are well organized notebooks to give information on dining, activities and shopping. Nothing is overlooked in this immaculate home! You will not regret booking this home!

MOOD TRANSFORMING

  • 5 of 5

From the moment you enter The Pond you feel as if you've been wrapped in a warm throw and your state of mind transforms from stressed, scattered and wide open to relaxed, calm and spoiled. Photos do not do it justice! It's hard to believe it's a rental because of the excellent and meticulous condition of it. Every thing we could posssibly need was available- gourmet kitchen, woodburning fireplaces (ESPECIALLY outside) information on attractions, scenic drives, restaurants or other nearby towns and anything else you could possibly think of doing! Every LITTLE detail matters to the owners so that your stay is truely memorable. We have been back MANY times and plan to return ASAP.

Stunning home, property, and location

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 3 adult, couples so impressed with this rental that we are already in the process of renting it again next year. The pictures, though accurate representations, don't begin to do this home justice. The furnishings and decorations are outstanding, and the setting at the top of a small valley with the mountains on the horizon were better than we hoped.

The owner was meticulous, detailed, prompt and gracious from first contact through the length of our stay and beyond. There were multiple, extensive notebooks and source materials for activities, shopping and dining in the area, and we found the top recommendations well worth following.

For over 10 years we have rented vacation homes from Zermatt to Maui and can say, without reservation, that this was the best rental we have experienced.

Luxury in the Mountains

  • 5 of 5

The Pond House was just perfect. Everything was spotless, the house was stocked with everything you could want for a terrific vacation. We were greeted with a walk-through describing everything the house offered. The view of the pond and the mountains was enough to make you want to stay on the deck all the while. But we did explore the surrounding towns and waterfalls anyway. We can't wait to get back and highly recommend this gem in the mountains!

Beautiful mountain retreat, amazing views, awesome memories!

  • 5 of 5

Our family decided to try something different for our vacation this year and instead of heading to a beach in Florida we chose the beauty of the waterfalls of North Carolina. We loved every minute of it! I think a large part of our enjoyment came from staying at The Pond House, beginning from the initial and very welcoming walk-through with the property manager Tony. He showed us where everything was, how everything worked, gave us advice and recommendations for things to do and where to eat (Fat Buddies IS awesome!). Pam has binders that are full of great ideas, suggestions, and area information which were a huge help.

We each had our own beautiful bedroom and bathroom, cooked meals together in the gourmet kitchen, and made smores in the outdoor fireplace we gathered around every night. Mornings were spent either on the large deck or in the screened porch area. We had plenty of room to be together as well as space for everyone to spend some time alone – very important when travelling with teenagers.

The home itself is beautiful, from the structure to the rustic furniture to the décor, and the views from the deck are amazing. Every little detail is well thought out and set up for the renter’s enjoyment. Preparing our own meals was so easy with the professional appliances, every type of pot, pan, utensil and dish we could need was at our fingertips, including stemware, tablecloths, and cloth napkins. The full size washer and dryer are a great bonus.

This is an absolutely amazing home, and combined with the great communication and management by Pam and Neal (and Tony!) it’s definitely the place to stay if you want to experience the beauty of the area. We didn’t want to leave! The vacation is over but we have stunning photos of the waterfalls and great memories of our stay at The Pond House that will last for many years to come. Thank you!
