Available February 2010....(rebuiding cabin on current property) The Wicker Creel is a brand new, beautiful custom log cabin home located in the quiet Blue River area, only 2-3 minutes from downtown Breckenridge. This log cabin embodies the true meaning of Colorado Mountain living with all the modern conveniences you want (hot tub, internet, Sat. TV, etc...). It is ideal for families, reunions, small groups, and romantic getaways. Right out the front door is world-class fly fishing in neighborhood beaver ponds, or walk a little past them and fish the Blue River for wild trout. Down the road a half mile is the Goose Tarn Lake with trophy fishing and trails to ride bikes or hike. Whether summer or winter, The Wicker Creel is the perfect spot....secluded but close to all activities around Breckenridge!

I was looking for a place to house 8 guys for a weekend of outdoors activities and this could not have been a better choice. We found the cabin and were immediately impressed that everything was exactly as described and the property was very well kept, it fealt more like staying in a relative's vacation home than a rental. We spent plenty of time fishing the smaller river behind the cabin, crashing around the beaver ponds, and enjoying the ridiculous scenery right off the porch. The lake nearby proved to be some of the best fishing anyone has ever scene....we kept a dozen amongst the group, threw twice that many back!!!! We did take a drive to fish some "gold medal waters" and enjoy the scenery all of which was great, as was downtown breckenridge literally a few minutes drive away.

The cabin was awesome for a bunch of guys and I wouldn't hesitate to go back with wives/girfriends because the cabin was more than nice enough to please them. The location was great- secluded enough to enjoy the woods and close enough to any amenity or attraction you want. The owner did a great job answering all my questions and directing us where to head for fishing, outfitting, sightseeing, groceries and everything else. As a group we had a great time and I would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking some time in the mountains!

I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a scenic, remote yet close to Breckenridge type of cabin. Great vacation!!
