Beautiful cottage on Lake Superior. The cottage is on 162' of water frontage with sugar sand beach, just 10 miles from downtown Marquette. You'll enjoy the sweeping view of Lake Superior, as well as Marquette sky line and lights. Casino is a half mile away if you feel lucky!

The owners, Mark (from Southfield, MI and Mary (from Green Bay, WI) Keegan met at Northern Michigan University and fell in love with the area and have been living in Marquette ever since. They have the best of both worlds, a house on the east side of Marquette and a cottage (or 'camp') as all the 'Uppers' call them. They have renovated both of there properties and love to share there hard work for others to enjoy.
Mark is an AVID boater but since boating season is sooooooo short, Mary convinced him that having a house on the beach would provide even more time on the water!! When driving by one rainy Sunday evening (after coming home from Munising to look at buying a 38' house boat), Mark found the 'for sale' sign out in front of what is now their beach house and the rest is history.
The most amazing benefit to this particular piece of paradise are the Oar boats that skim across the lake and the SUN SETS 'over the city', each one is unique and displays the most vibrant colors. Afterwards, the city lights come up just before the moon rise and if you are lucky enough you may even see Northern Lights late in the summer. Of course the sunset wouldn't be as spectacular if the light were not reflecting in the pristine waters as it laps up the edges of our endless beach...and this can all be seen by just sitting on the couch enjoying a glass of wine and the comfort of an air conditioned home (but I would suggest getting out and walking the miles of beach or like we so often do, just the property line).
The other amazing benefit is that the cottage is so close to Marquette, a beautiful city that must be experienced. There is so much going on all year long.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy our little place on the beach!
