Charming with Privacy for 3 couples

The property is old -- that's the beauty of his charming Victorian home -- you feel like you are living at the turn-of-the century. The location is terrific - half a block from the beautiful Forsythe Park. We were 3 couples, had lots of privacy and slept like babies on the new matresses. Each of us had the privacy of our own bathroom. The washing machines were a nice touch. Towels were provided in each restroom, however, they were paper thin, old and discolored. Tiny bars of soap were in each bathroom. There were no tissues or paper towels in the house. The toilet paper was very thin and rough and all products were Walmart. All of the garbage cans did not have liners in them and were filthy inside. The appliances in the kitchen (i.e., coffee pot and toaster) were plastic and the insides to the sofa in the parlor was hanging on the floor -- we thought there were cobwebs but it was actually the insides of the sofa. The upstairs toilet was not clean when we arrived so I cleaned it for my guests. The house is classy but the lack of quality in the accessories (appliances, papergoods, poor quality soaps, etc.) did not add to the grandness of this wonderful Victorian home.

Owner's Response: Thank You for the review. Glad you all enjoyed the home. We are in the process of replacing all linens and trash cans. Seems housekeeping had an oversight which I have addressed with them. We also are buying a thin piece of lining and will staple this to the antique sofa ( it is not the inside of sofa just the lining). In closing, we do try and keep rental costs to an affordable rate, this is why we only supply guests with a complimentary starter package for their convenience which most find is enough for their stay. We hope to see you all again and wish to thank you for taking time to let us know.
