This contemporary camp/cottage was an Architectural Record House of 1968! Its three pavilions, grouped around a protected courtyard, are designed to take maximum advantage of this dramatic site perched on a hill overlooking the confluence of the York River and harbor channel. The two-acre site affords total privacy with a large flat back yard and lawns sloping to the water. A spacious deck provides outdoor dining, and the house is fully equipped with TV/VCR/DVD and WiFi Internet.

The house is conveniently situated in York, Maine, which is less than 90 minutes drive from Boston’s Logan airport, and is 15 minutes from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Portland is 40 minutes to the north. New York City is four-five hours by car. For boating and swimming, there is a nearby marina within a mile, and one of Maine’s most beautiful beaches is in York Harbor 2 miles by road. Swimming is possible in front of the house at the rocky shore, which lies across quiet Western Point Road. Shopping and cultural activities abound in nearby Historic York and Portsmouth.
