PEACE AND QUIET AT LAST..... Breathtaking waterfront views await you where you can relax and wake up each morning to the sounds of the sea gulls or the fish jumping. 'Seagull Retreat' is a home located on the Virginia Eastern Shore just off the Chesapeake Bay. Enjoy 1.5 wooded acres and lots of peace and quiet. There are four bedrooms, two and a half baths, a sun room, a library, a living room and 2800 square feet of living space. The living room has a gas fireplace, satellite TV with DVD player, an ipod docking station and game table. The master bedroom also has a satellite TV, DVD player and walk-in closet. The library has books, dvd's & videos. Soak up the views from most of the rooms, enjoy the patio with a fire pit, Adirondack chairs, patio table and chairs. Relax in the hammock, fish from the 300 foot private pier, drop in a couple of crab pots or launch your own boat from the nearby ramp. We also have 2 bikes & 2 kayaks.

Our week at Seagull's retreat was very enjoyable. We have rented many homes for vacations in the past, and this one far exceeded our expectations. This house was clean and very inviting. The rooms were charming and well decorated. The kitchen was well stocked, with everything we could possibly need to make our own meals. There was much to do within a very short drive. Overall, very tranquil and well worth the trip.

Peace and Quiet

Recently stayed at Seagull Retreat and was very pleased with the home, views and peacefulness which was much needed. There are times when you look at homes/descriptions online and actually get somewhere and find that things are different; but really did not find that to be a problem here. Another plus is the shade is plentiful when needing a break from the sun. I have shared the information and recommended your home to others who are interested in getting away. On a fun note - I was sitting on the dock with my foot in the water one day and a crab tried to get my toe several times. I played with it for a while and it was amusing. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

A wonderful place for the whole family

This home was wonderful. It was well maintained and the location was perfect for relaxation. At the same time, everyone enjoyed the backyard and pier including the kids. We had a really great time. The owner was informative and responsive with all our questions.

We will definitely choose to stay at the Seagull Retreat again.

Totally wonderful

My husband and I stayed here with 2 other couples and would definitely recommend it to our friends. This home was large enough for several families to eat and "hang out" together as well as providing enough privacy to make the stay very comfortable. This home was beautifully decorated and far exceeded my expectations.

We enjoyed relaxing under the trees, the beautiful view and, especially, sitting around the fire pit at night. A short drive provided us with several quaint old towns where we discovered a very nice restaurant as well as cafes, ice cream parlors and some interesting shops. None of the towns were full of tourists and that made the experience a lot more fun.

Lovely Spacious Home with Fabulous View

This is a lovely home, close enough to all of the major attractions in the Cape Charles area to be very convenient, yet secluded enough to seem lost in another world. The "creek" on which it sits is more like a river, making for an amazing view from the sun room and the living room. The amenities are top notch, and a week here is like several weeks elsewhere. Highly recommended.
