Charming even in early Spring

My friend and I stayed here for two nights in February, mainly to recuperate from Mardi Gras and then the long drive through Mississippi and Tennessee, before flying home to England. It was perfect! Waking up to the clear air, the smell of the forest and the spectacular view was a delight and we simply lounged around on the deck the whole day, drinking in the mountains.
I wasn't sure quite what to expect, having booked online, but could not have been more pleased. Three sizeable bedrooms (two doubles and one twin), two lovely modern bathrooms, a large kitchen, dining room, utility (w/ washing machine and dryer) and lounge - there would be plenty of space for a family of 6. And hot water was plentiful, towels abundant, and peace and quiet all around. We didn't see a soul, although I spotted a brightly coloured woodpecker among the bare trees.
We had clear instructions all along, Carl was prompt to answer questions during the initial booking (although I had to ring up with my card details), and upon arrival we found lots of brochures and helpful guides in the cabin. I would recommend a clear map, as Robin Lane is not on Google yet and the paved road goes by two different names.
My highlights? Well, the hot tub (of course) but also the heating/AC. Cool by day and warm by night. And the wireless internet worked flawlessly and quickly (connection settings are by the back door).
So it feels like you're a million miles from anywhere but the paved road isn't far... nor is cyberspace! I'd say this was like home-from-home but, in fact, it's better than my house! Take a week and really unwind. Cannot give higher praise for this flawless experience.

Owner's Response: What a nice review! We're working with the mapping sites to resolve our county's road-naming snafu...fortunately folks have been very nice although our progress is slow. We do offer directions on our Cottages of Dark Corner website, and are happy to navigate folks in as needed. As always we are very keen on preserving everyone's security...that's why we ask you to provide your credit card information by phone. We've been scammed and it's definitely no fun. We're happy you had such a nice time. This is truly a place of healing: and as happy as our guests are when visiting, it is we who are the fortunate ones. Not only do we get to meet amazing people from all over the world, we get to live here, too. It doesn't get better.
