The Perfect Getaway Cottage

If you are hesitant in choosing a vacation cottage off the internet, then stop your search and book your vacation at this cottage. We found it to be truly the perfect getaway cottage. The location could not be better. There is a nice park a few steps across the quiet road which leads to a beautiful sandy beach on Lake Michigan. It is just minutes from Saugatuck and great restaurants, fun shopping, nice state parks and four lane highways to take you anywhere you want to go around Michigan. Don't miss the pies at Cranes - we visited there every evening for our dessert! We spent part of our days tracking down Frank Lloyd Wright houses in Michigan and hiking in well maintained state parks with Lake Michigan beaches. Returning to the cottage was like returning home. The cottage is clean, cozy, relaxing, homey and warm feeling. It is stocked with everything you need for your visit. The screened in porch is a wonderful bonus. We enjoyed sitting out there watching the squirrels. Susan, the owner, is a joy! She is pleasant and prompt in answering questions. We are looking forward to our return visit next year!

Owner's Response: Wow - thanks so much for the kind words, Debra! This really is our home away from home and we know what it's like when you get in after a long drive so we try to provide a few basics to get folks started. We've also done vacation rentals here and abroad and know what it's like when you get into a new area, so we try to provide as much information as we can - especially our personal recommendations for the area. We're fortunate to have a great cleaning person who keeps tabs on things, too. And it doesn't hurt that the area is just plain gorgeous to boot!
We look forward to welcoming you back next year. Safe travels!
