This house was in a great location. Just a short drive to the town shops and good restraunts. Just up the street was an area you could hike and look over the ledges that was breath taking. It was also close to the lake which was nice.
The house itself was nice, a little small down stairs where the bedrooms and bath are but overall good. They did not provide hand/shower soap and only had one roll of T.P. so be prepared with some supplies.
Owner's Response: Our policy is to provide starter paper goods and basic cleaning supplies, hand soap, dish washing detergent,1- 2 rolls paper towels, and 2-4 rolls of tissue per bathroom. Occasionally the people doing service for us do make errors. Should an arriving guest find a concern ( within 6 hours of their arrival) we request that they contact our local on call caretaker to report the issue. We value timely reports of issues so that we both have an opportunity to correct the situation and to prevent it from happening on a future occasion.
Our guest home is a traditional chalet. During the sixties and seventies almost all chalets were built using one of a couple of floor layouts. These split entry structures feature an open floor plan with a little over 500 square feet per level . In this model the bathroom and four bedrooms are located on the lower level. This arrangement provides the advantage of making the living room, kitchen, and dining areas larger than in many traditional chalets. The bedrooms in this home are comparably sized to those of other chalets that feature four bedrooms and bathroom on the same level. We offer two bedrooms with queen beds, and two other bedrooms each with four twin beds . We currently suggest occupancy should be limited to four adults (2 couples) or two adults and 3-5 smaller children. The bunk rooms are small for adults.
Presently the living room, dining room, and kitchen are all together . This means children and adults share a common area on rainy days. This upcoming season we hope to finish off the patio as a three season room .This work is well in progress. This 300 + square foot room will add important additional floor space to the home and also provide separate areas for adults and children .
