Photos and Description of the North Conway vacation chalet rental
4 bedrooms 1 bath 2-4 adults 6-8 total

This traditional well built chalet is located right at the base of Cathedral Ledge. The property is literally surrounded by state park on two sides. From the trail across from Summit access road, its a ten minute walk to beautiful Echo Lake. At the lake there is a bath house with showers, life guard on duty, rustic picnic table settings. With the National Forrest behind you and selected park gates closed in the evening , it is just as peaceful as can be during the evenings. With no light pollution, you'll see stars like you've never see them.

This unique chalet floor plan has all bedrooms and the bath on the lower level. There are two bedrooms with queen beds and two bunk rooms each with a full bed below and a twin bed above. A great arrangement for 1-2 couples or a family with several children.

Parties interested in renting Sunday night Departing Friday a.m. are considered. If the weekdays are rented we will offer the weekend . ( Friday Saturday)

Trash Policy: Trash removal is your responsibility . We provide coupons to the local transfer station but have no control over station hours . Check with our caretaker about the station schedule. Note Our caretaker will pick up trash at $3 a bag.

Do not leave trash outside. This is bear country .

A word about services and property condition : All Serene Getaway properties are pet friendly. A pet fee is usually assessed. We can also provide linen and cleaning service, however please order these well in advance. Cleaning and laundry services are hired out requiring at least a week of advance notice to get a good rate. These services also require our follow up. Unfortunately cleaning crews sometimes don't arrive. Should you arrive and something is significantly wrong let us know. We will send someone over right away to attend to things. Your feedback on property condition is valuable as it tells us how well our caretaker performs his job, and how well the guests immediately before you have lived up to their agreement. If you find something requiring repair during your stay, leave a visible note (white) or pinned up . This will direct our caretaker's attention towards fixing things.

A parks path .4 miles brings you to the beach at the North Conway ( Ledges ) home. From our Log Home or Family Chalet its 500 feet to a sandy beach Our at the Waterfront home you'll enjoy 322 waterfront on an acre of land .

This was my first time using Home Away. The entire transaction from picking the Chalet, owner response, signing the rental agreement, and rental payment was seamless. The Chalet was wonderful; we stayed two nights with four adults and the accommodations where very comfortable. I have stayed in the Cathedral Ledge community in the past, it is a wonderful location for hiking, skiing, shopping, and dining/partying in the North Conway area. This Chalet is one of the best homes in the Cathedral Ledge community,with a great view of the ledge from the back deck.

Home Away from Home!

The location, amenities, layout, etc of this property were PERFECT!

Our group included our 2 children (14 & 9 years old), my in-laws and my husband and myself. There was plenty of room to accommodate all of us without feeling as though we were sitting on top of each other. The bedroom layout was perfect! A bedroom for each adult couple and a bedroom for each child. There was plenty of room upstairs for us to have a the kids watching television while the adults had a conversation on the other side of the room or out on one of the lovely decks. We also had our golden retriever with us who loved being able to either be outside with us on the deck or inside with the kids... The kitchen is small but well equipped. Enough plates, cups, glasses, utensils for 8 as well as some mixing/serving bowls, a variety of pots and pans, a bbq grill (professional grade) with full propane tank.

The location was perfect. Within minutes of Diana's Bath, Echo Lake and downtown North Conway. Hiking trails are accessible directly behind the house.

My family (me, my wife, 3 kids, one small dog) had stayed on the Christmas weekend and it couldn't be better. House is big enough and kids love the house. The location was also perfect. We were able to sky at Cranmore and King Pine. Also, Hanaford super maker is in 10 minutes drive. At night, very quite and able to see all the stars and complete darkness. We love this house and hope we can stay again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Great Location, Very Private

My husband and I spent a few days using the chalet as a base for our day hikes. Many great trails nearby. The kitchen is well-equipped and the living room relaxing with the best gas fireplace I have seen! The owner was very responsive to my questions and suggestions.

Clean and scenic

My family stayed here over Labor Day weekend and we loved the place. It has everything you need for a vacation and more. It was out of the way but still close to everything. What a beautiful view of Cathedral Ledge. It is also great for kids as there wasn't really anything that could be broken (I have a 4 yr old and a 9 year old). We all had a great time and are planning on staying again.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
