Astoria (the mouth of the Columbia) is absolutely incredible and the views are breathtaking. It is also known for its restaurants, shopping and antiquing.

Golfing is spectacular in Gearhart just a few minutes south. Seaside and Cannon Beach, both within a few miles offer lovely restaurants, shopping and antiquing.

Relaxing and comfortable

My husband, almost-5yo and I really enjoyed our 4-night stay here. The house is comfortable, the kitchen quite useable, and our son really enjoyed the games and toys, even if they were intended for a slightly older set. The house is sort of tucked away in a neighborhood and you have to drive to get to stores, downtown, etc., but there was lots of room for neighborhood walks and along the water, about a 15 minute walk to the eastern terminus of the Riverwalk trail that leads to downtown. We arrived there at the peak of blackberry season just down the road - yum! (If you have kids, be sure to visit Forts Clatsop and Stevens while you are there.)

Fantastic Trip

We had a fabulous anniversary trip to Astoria and down the coast of Oregon. Having never visited this area before, it was scenic, educational and fun, fun, fun. The house was very comfortable so we were able to relax when we weren't touring the area. I loved getting up each morning, looking out to the beautiful view of the Columbia River and checking to see what ships had moored, gone upriver or out to sea. Each day was a wonderful experience. We hope to return to this area in the future. Thanks for a most enjoyable and relaxing vacation.

Our trip to Astoria

We stayed in this lovely house for an entire week and loved it completely. The view is even better then the pictures show. The house is clean and the washer & dryer are a HUGH bonus.The house is close enough to everything; Seaside, Cannon Beach, Tillamook.
The neighborhood is peacful. We would stay there again!!!!

Our stay in Astoria

We LOVED our stay in Astoria! The town is so quaint and friendly. Lots to do and see. We visited the Maritime Museum, Rogue Brewery and cannery nearby, went to the Astoria Column-what a view! On Sunday we went downtown to the Market, which was great-fresh flowers, fruit, food and music and everyone is so friendly!
Char's home was very easy to find by following her directions and was wonderful, just as it was pictured. It is decorated so nice, cozy and very clean, everything we needed was there! Having the laundry room available was very convenient. All we did was kick back and enjoy the the view and fresh air and good food. Thank you Char for proving such a nice home, we plan on coming back soon.

Great Time

We just had a great time this weekend. We both said renting this house was like going to a friends place for the weekend. You really do have this house stocked so well, it made it very easy to get comfortable and enjoy our time on the coast. We just loved spending the day in the hustle and bustle of Seaside or Cannon and then going "home" to Astoria were we can catch our breath and enjoy a glass of wine on the deck.
