This listing is for two condominiums just off the base of Erie's vacation destination, Presque Isle State Park, a 3,200-acre sandy peninsula that arches into Lake Erie. As Pennsylvania's only 'seashore,' Presque Isle offers its visitors a beautiful coastline and many recreational activities, including swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, bicycling and in-line skating. A National Natural Landmark, Presque Isle is a favorite spot for migrating birds. Because of the many unique habitats, Presque Isle contains a greater number of the state's endangered, threatened and rare species than any other area of comparable size in Pennsylvania.
The units are adjacent to the Tom Ridge Environmental Center. The Center describes its activities as follows. 'From the orientation theater that will take visitors through 12,000 years of history and four seasons on the peninsula, from sunrise to sunset, to the interactive exhibits that allow visitors to manipulate wind, water, and land, there will many exciting experiences to pique the visitor’s curiosity. Visitors will also be able take in a large format movie (similar to IMAX), discover all the region has to offer from PA’s Great Lakes Region, and take in a bite to eat at the convenient café. And as if that were not enough, now visitors will be able to browse an expanded nature shop, which will include local memorabilia, the works of local artists, and various other books, clothing, gifts and more.'
You will be less than a half mile to the Waldameer Amusement and Water Park. The park has 75 rides including 2008's award winning Ravine Flyer roller coaster which goes over the entrance to Presque Isle State Park. It is described on its web site as 'a beautiful family fun amusement and water park complex, Waldameer and Water World features scores of amusement park rides, magnificent water park slides, live shows, modern arcade, traditional midway games, food and refreshment centers, souvenir and gift shops, and numerous picnic groves all surrounded by gorgeous landscaped grounds. Every aspect of this multi-use entertainment complex is specifically designed to provide the appropriate entertainment and recreation areas for every member of the family, no matter what age or thrill level desired.'
Many restaurants and stores are close by. Restaurants range from formal sit down style to unique local eateries to well known fast food franchises. Stores include craft, antique, grocery, drug, department and many others. Don't rough it by being miles away from everything, these are all within 15 minutes.
These condo are close to Erie Airport (3 miles) and Erie's Bayfront connector easily leading to Interstates 79, 90 and 86.
Stay in a home rather than a hotel room or a worn out rental. Tastefully decorated and fully furnished. The owners use these condos when they visit Erie and want them to be nice. Be their guest!
Condo Unit One is a two bedroom, one bath (with shower only) unit. It is located on the first floor so no step climbing is required. There are three beds in the unit, a queen, a double and a twin. During summer, this unit rents for $1,750 per month. During non-summer season, this unit rents for $1,150 a month including utilities.
Condo Unit Two is a two bedroom, two bath unit on the second floor (with a commercial washer dryer just outside the door to the unit). The first bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has a two person hide-a-bed sofa and a one person cot. During summer, this unit rents for $1,850 per month. During non-summer season, this unit rents for $1,250 a month including utilities.
The condo association requires a one month minimum rental. While you can always use less, the lease needs to be for one month so please do not inquire about weekly rentals. If time is available and close to the rental period, we will consider offers.

Summer rates effective Memorial Day
My family and I stayed in Unit 2 while in the process of relocating to Erie. We really enjoyed our stay and it was the perfect temporary home for us while we figured out our life in a new city. The condo is conveniently located - it's so close to the beaches at Presque Isle that we were able to enjoy a lot of last minute beach trips. It's also a great home base to start from to get anywhere in Erie (downtown, Peach Street shopping areas, etc.).
The unit was very clean and tidy when we arrived and we enjoyed how spacious and quiet it was. Coin-operated laundry is located right outside the unit and all of the neighbors we met from other units were very friendly. We really appreciated having access to parking, and having a second bathroom was handy. The kitchen space is nicely outfitted with good appliances (including a dishwasher) and lots of utensils, pots & pans, and other tools to cook at home. There's a nice deck just outside the unit and the area surrounding the condo is really pretty and serene. We saw wild turkeys and deer from the patio on quite a few mornings! There's a walking trail adjacent to the condo complex which leads through a pretty forest and into Scott Park, which has a playground (helpful if you're traveling with kids like we were). We were so focused on the beach that we didn't end up going in the pool, but we were happy to see that it is well-maintained and very clean.
The owner was incredibly prompt, professional, and helpful in all of our communications. We would definitely stay in the unit again and recommend it to others.
conveniently located to Presque Isle...quiet peaceful ...I rented the 2 bedroom 2 bath and for the majority of my stay it was just myself. my sons and granddaughter joined me on 2 separate occasions ...we enjoyed the pool and the ability to cook in the condo & not have to eat out every meal. I had to cleani up a little when I got there and it was a bit disorganized but no fault of the owners. I think it was the season where I was checking in just as someone else was checking out. I would definitely rent it again... unfortunately you have to rent for a whole month because of the condo regulations -2 weeks would be ideal!
My husband and I rented Condo #1 for July and August of 2013. Upon arrival we were disappointed to see that the furniture had many nicks in it. The furniture reminded me of something a landlord would put in an apartment that was being rented by college kids. Although the condo slept 6, the living room had only one couch with seating for 3. When we had guests, they had to sit on dining room chairs. There were 2 smoke alarms, both disabled. The bathroom had peeling paint and masking tape around a square on one wall. There were weeds growing up onto the patio and no usable patio furniture. Off of the patio was a storage closet with some outside furniture: what appeared to be an old grill and other things. Everything was filthy and unusable. The air conditioning unit was in this closet. At one point the air conditioning unit froze and we notified the owner who sent his maintenance man. The man removed all of the filthy things from the closet to gain access to the air conditioning. Once all of the closet cluter was gone, it was easy to see that the walls of the closet were covered with black mold. Apparently moving everything else stirred up the mold, because the air conditioner then blew moldy air into our condo. I became very ill with wheezing and bronchitis and was forced to stay somewhere else for 3 nights. I would never recommend this condo to anyone. The condo was not worth anywhere near what we paid.
