Maine Island Escape to Private Cove on twelve acres of woods and meadows. Enjoy front row seats from an Adirondack chair on the sun drenched deck, or settle into an evergreen shaded waterfront hammock. Panoramic views await you including Mt. Desert Island. Loons call from the cove and young bald eagles take flight from a small nearby Island. Three bedrooms include two full beds and one twin bed. New pullout couch provides additional full size bed. Sunny well equipped kitchen with gas stove. Stainless gas grill awaits on the deck. Additional dining room and living room adjoin. Relax with a book, explore the Cove at low tide, swim in pristine Turner Pond, or hike on the many National Park Trails. Bicycles are available for you to explore the Island. Leave your vehicle in Stonington, ride the mailboat to Isle Au Haut, and we will welcome when you reach the Island! Mooring access is available, and kayaks are welcome. Turner Cove is 'TV free' but has cell and wireless coverage.

Isle Au Haut Maine is the 'road less traveled' in the Acadia National Park System. Half of the Island is national park land with a network of spectacular trails, and the remainder is privately owned. The Island has views of Mount Desert Island where Bar Harbor is located. The Island has a 12 mile loop road, and there is no regular car ferry. There are no large public lodging or dining facilities, but reservations can be made for dinner at the Inn at Isle Au Haut. There is a general store, a community church, library, and and active one room schoolhouse. Local lobster shouldn't be missed!
