Awesome Apartment in Rome

Giggia's apartment met all expections and I look forward to staying there again the next time I am in Rome. My wife and I stayed about 10 days and Giggia was very nice and helpful. The apartment is very close to the Colosseum and Roman Forum (less than a 10 min walk). Which is where most people want to get started the moment they arrive in Rome. Just up the street you will find bus stops and restaurants and about 5 mins down the street you will be very close to the Cavour Metro station, so you can get to the far places in Rome and not have to actually walk a lot. Remember on those hot days to stop by the Beebop Gelateria at the very bottom end of the street. You will find an English speaking couple there that were very nice and offered amazing Gelato. Across the street there is a small supermarket, where I ended up going several times for snacks, breakfast items, and sometimes even dinner. Rome is an expensive place, but staying with Giggia and having the supermarket close by was easier on the wallet and it really helped us take part in many of the sites in Rome that require you to pay to get in. The apartment is located in a safe area and it requires 3 separate doors (with separate keys) before you get into the apartment. So you can rest assured your belongings will be safe. One thing to keep in mind is that the apartment is at the top floor of the building (4 floors, if I remember right). So pack lighter, most likely you will not end up using all the clothes you are bringing anyway. So the lighter you pack, the less weight you will have when you take your bags up and down the stairs upon arrive and departure. The size of the apartment was good and the bed was comfortable. I think staying here is perfect for couples getting away from their daily stresses back home. I recommend staying at Giggia's apartment. - Thank you for everything Giggia and helping us have a trip of a lifetime. :)
