Grandma's Quaint & Quiet Lakefront Doll House Cottage

My husband and I had the great pleasure of staying here with our two boys for two weeks this summer. The best part of this property is, by far, the owners.To say they are accommodating would be an understatement. They went out of their way not only to ensure that our stay was comfortable but that we felt at home, which we absolutely did!

Hurricane Irene 2011 happened during our stay. The owner called to check on us and see how we were doing. Thankfully, everything was alright, and there were no major problems. But they were on top of things to make sure.

The pictures really do not do it justice. It was clean and well maintained and is decorated so cutely. It seemed like something new caught my eye almost daily. The view is spectacular and so relaxing. Surrounded by tall, mature trees and situated directly across the road from the lake, there is so much to look at from the porch. Even with a 4 year old running around and a newborn, I couldn't help but feel relaxed and at ease.

The lake provides great opportunities for family fun. The beach entrance is perfect for your kids, and the lifeguards add a measure of security. We had a picnic and splashed in the water. There are also lots of attractions and opportunities nearby. We had a ton of fun at the children's museum in Providence.

Bottom line? We highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again when we are back in the area!

Cute Cottage that comes with everything you need for a nice relaxing vacation. Even the ingredients for s'mores and a backyard fireplace/pit to make them or popcorn to watch one of the DVD's they have.. Plenty of space for a couple, and enough room for a small family. There are TV's, puzzles, and a beach which is just a short walk away on a large spring fed pond. Complete with a lifeguard. Or just sit on the porch and look at the water while you relax and grill your dinner. The cottage has a lot of decoration which we turned into a game of 'find the item'. So when you go start with a search for the bear carrying the log. Have fun......... p.s. also go to The Gentlemans Farmer for a nice breakfast...

Our family of four stayed in the cottage last week and it was perfect for our needs. It served as the home base for day trips to Newport and Providence. The owners were so accommodating, with the provision of towels, linens, soap, shampoo, even a flashlight!! It was nice that they left crackers, chocolate and marshmallows for smores. The mattress in the bedroom was extremely comfortable, and we appreciated having three separate television sets in the cottage. We used the grill to cook one night and ate outside, which was very pleasant. My one suggestion for the owners: clear some cabinet space in the kitchen for people to store their food and maybe free up some space in the living room to put away items (especially for people sleeping on the futon). It was great having the dresser in the bedroom for putting clothes into.
We enjoyed staying in this safe, cozy cottage!
