This was my first time to OBX. We usually enjoy a similar vacation on Long Beach Island, NJ. Corolla is a beautiful place. We found the house very cozy and enjoyed being close to the pond and having the swimming pool in the back yard.
The house itself is nice and very comfortable. Even with 2 families (4 adults and 5 children) we did not feel crowded. Although the house was clean, there were a few problems. The couch in the downstairs family room was torn apart and the stuffing was falling out. It is also too long of a walk to the beach for our little ones (4 and 7 years old) and there is no parking at the beach access so we had to drop everyone off and return the car to the house and then walk back again. The walk is about 10 to 15 minutes for adults. Also, the Hot tub has only 1 speed, low, and no bubbles ( a little disappointing).
The location is convienent. The local restaurants were good (lots of seafood) and there are 2 grocery stores nearby. Having the gas grill made for some enjoyable dinners.

In regard to the couch in question it had indeed been destroyed by an overly-friendly canine guest and has since been replaced. We are also happy to report the bubbles have returned to the hot tub, and it awaits new visitors.
