This is a blessed land! Spectacular views of snow-capped mountains in winter. With skiing just over ONE HOUR away, Mt. Washington offers a first class resort which provides practice runs for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. you are on the hill in 70 minutes so forget getting all the gear ready! There are no words to describe just how peaceful It feels to sit on the deck or beach and absorb - with awe - the experience. The loudest sounds you can hear are the waves on the shore! Summer offers a healthy sun and a vast array of activities - swimming, kayaking, rafting, hiking, fishing, whale watching and more. Modern beachfront house offers all conveniences in the lap of nature - watch eagles soar and seals play - swim in semi private beach. Unforgettable days. This is a non smoking property, and is safe for children, with fencing and lockable gates. We now offer our own kayaks for rent (when owner is at property). You will be able to see cruise ships in the distance every night in the summer as they venture to Alaska.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Includes all linen and towels. Use of wooden kayaks available when owners at property. Deposit required for kayaks. Security deposit of £150 against any house damage for rental period. We can assume no liability for injuries or otherwise resulting from use of any of the sea vessels or undue care on the property. Please note that owner may be at the property some of June, July and August, and some of September - to be confirmed..
  • Use of the extra floor (sleeping 3 persons for total of 9 (king-size bed + 1 single) = additional 200 pounds per week in summer for total of 900 Pounds. Main floor sleeps max 6 (with comfortable double sized sofa bed). Extra floor features an extra bathroom, Television in room and exterior deck. Please note that Extra floor may not be available for months of July and August. This is subject to discussion and depends whether the owner is at property. The floor is separated from the owners area by a door. On a personal note, we would be happy to meet our guests, whether it be to share tips on sightseeing or to share a drink! Thanks.

  • Sleeps a maximum of 7 persons with use of sofa bed, and cot. Mostly would be ideal for a family or two couples with a baby. 2 Queen beds (one raised but with comfortable queen mattress as in photo - not really suitable for elderly persons);one sofa bed along corridor (see photo); & 1 cot. We occasionally rent an extra room and extra bathroom upstairs when owner is at the property. This extra floor also has television and a deck. It is separated from owners area by metal gate/door for privacy. (Best to enquire by phone).

Notes: ENTRANCE TO PROPERTY: Park in space allocated off road next to front gate. From here go down steps to garage and turn right past garage, open green gate (security for children) and make your way down side steps until you reach second gate. you will find property entrance next to gate. To go down to garden & beach you would open this second gate and make your way down. BEDROOM LAYOUT: As you enter front door.. on your right - main bedroom with queen size bed. On your left almost immediately opposite this bedroom...2nd bedroom with raised queen size bed in a ship's bunk style (3 steps -safety rail). Chest of drawers in room. Bedroom only for sleeping. Bed is large & comfortable, but may not be suitable for elderly people. Double Sofa bed is past bunk bedroom - in open space. Please see our Rental property in Cascais, Portugal, no.1376. A nature lovers paradise, with wildlife and beach right on your doorstep. World Class fishing and kayaking (2 kayaks which are available for rent). Schooner cove marina open to public and offers private boat rentals and charters, fishing and kayaking. Fairwinds resort & 18 hole golf club only 5 minutes away (next to Schooner cove) offers restaurant and an excellent course. Mt. Washington (now one of Top 10 ski resorts in North America!) offers skiing 60/70 minutes away & boasts record snowfalls. Day excursions to British Columbia capital, Victoria, with world famous Butchart Gardens. Good whale watching area here and on the west coast at Tofino (magical sense of peace and calm)and Ucleulet. There is surfing on the west coast all year round.

Good shopping is nearby at Nanaimo (25 mins.),which is also the main ferry terminal to property. Inexpensive(£29 adults/£15 child under 12 yrs one way),fast(15 minutes)and spectacular SEA-PLANE travel to Nanaimo harbour from Downtown Vancouver (near cruise ship piers). You are then just 25 minutes from house. Also FLIGHT CONNECTIONS between Vancouver International airport & Cassidy airport (south of Nanaimo - 45 minutes from house).If coming by CAR then reserve ferry space in summer ($15 fee),or travel off peak hours. BC FERRIES tel: +1 888 724 5223 for reservations. A Guest book and recommendations from the owners (who are involved in the health business)complete the picture to make your holiday a special one!
