Punta Caracol feels like it is a a remote oasis, but is only minutes away from great places to eat, drink and play. An easy 20 minute commute from Cancun airport. Whether you do absolutely nothing once arriving or keep busy every minute with activities, you are sure to have an amazing time at our home.
I am 43 years old and own this home with my husband. We have two children ages 12 and 9. We live in Nashville TN. I enjoy spending my days at our home in Mexico feeling the constant ocean breeze blow in on my face. And watching my children play in the pool and search for sea shells along the shore.
rebecca klements purchased this villa in 2007
We chose the buy this home for several reasons. The top five are: It is located only 20 minutes from the airport. It has beautiful views of the ocean from most of the rooms. It has the highest grade finishes of any home we saw in Mexico. There is a constant breeze the blows in from the ocean. It is a quiet location that feels remote but is only minutes from anything you may want to do on vacation.
I just wanted to take a moment to let you know we had such a lovely time staying at your home in Mexico.
With two small children and flying , it made it so easy to have all the supplies we could possibly need for them there at the house. Your caretaker is a dream and took care of all our needs from setting up a babysitter so we could go on a fishing trip to even a cook one night! We truly felt spoiled!! Hope to be back again next year!

Sometimes you are lucky enough to find a vacation paradise unexpectedly. Staying at this beautiful beach villa that is an easy short driving distance to everything I wanted to explore, was the perfect spot for our vacation. The home is immediately warm, inviting, spacious and luxurious. Everything felt carefully and lovingly chosen and I felt like a pampered guest at an exclusive resort. Having the pool, the beach and the ocean right there - I really did not want to leave. Cant wait to come back!!
This vacation spot is off the Cancun "gold coast" beaten path. It is a place to relax, enjoy the amenities and take in the natural beauty of the Mexican coastline. All of the people are friendly and helpful. Cooking is optional, but fresh, out of the ocean today fish is available for you to prepare or eat in the wonderful restaurants in town. The food is very good. I love ceviche and had the pleasure of making it for my group on some days and also enjoying it in the lovely restaurants in the quaint town of Puerto Morelos.
From this location, you can travel around to see and explore wonderful places like Playa del Carmen, many Cenotes (underground springs) or water parks and the other favorite of mine, the Crocodile Zoo.
As you can tell, I have returned to the beauty and serenity of this property many times already. It is one of my favorite spots and I will continue to go there often.
It was a bit far from town but so relaxing. I miss my spot under the palms, with the warm ocean breeze and the soothing sound of the surf. There was plenty of space in this villa for all of us (three couples) we each had our own en suite bathroom. The villa was well equipped with everything we needed. The grounds were very well kept, everyone was so friendly and we felt safe knowing that the care taker and his family were right next door. Over all I would give it a thumbs up!
Quiet and secluded beach area with a daily sunrise over the Caribbean. Nice size clean pool and grounds are well kept. Condo furnishings are good and beds are very comfortable. The remoteness of the condo to the village of Puerto Morelos does require a car and a willingness to drive the 10 minute drive on a dirt road that can be very bumpy. However, the little sleepy authentic fishing village of Puerto Morelos is well worth the drive! We were in the village well after dark and the people after dark are no different - VERY friendly. Restaurants are excellent all on filtered water so there is no concern for intestinal issues. The public beach in town is fantastic and we spent time there with the locals. You can rent chairs and umbrellas inexpensively. Snorkeling is one of the best ever and is available right off the beach or a boat will take you to the reef economically. Rebecca and the on site staff are great to work with!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a beautiful condo!
This property is represented as a beach front villa but it is not. It is a condo in the back of a small complex and it is neither free-standing (it is the bottom condo of a 3-story building) nor ocean front (two 3-story buildings stand between it and the beach). The condo itself is nice enough in that it is spacious. The kitchen is not that well-equipped and the beds are not that comfortable, but these were minor details compared to our disappointment that it was not ocean front. A bigger problem was a strong sewer-like smell in one of the bathrooms that lingered the entire week despite aroma candles burning all day.
The beach that goes with the property is incredibly small and is actually up above the ocean, because the complex was built on land supported by a seawall. So when playing on the VERY small beach, you cannot go in and out of the water. You can walk down to the ocean (using a flight of stairs) but because of the sea wall, the waves are stronger than elsewhere and I was not comfortable having my young children swim there.
Finally, it bears noting because the property is in a remote location, you have to take a very long, unpaved dirt road to arrive there. The flooding and potholes on the road were so significant that it actually caused damage to our rental car and we had to find and pay a local mechanic to fix the car.
In all, we paid a very steep price for a beachfront experience with views and easy access to the water and this place did not provide what we thought we were paying for. We would not recommend a stay here.
