In the heart of the Quarter of Literature (Madrid of the Austria's).
Within walking distance from the main Madrid attractions.
Designed with a mix of modern and traditional Madrid architecture, its wooden beams on walls and ceiling account for much of the flavor of the Apartment. Built in the early 20th Century, the building has been completely refurbished in 2005.
Easily accessible by elevator even for handicapped persons (width of wheelchairs should be consulted).
In its 53 square meters, full with day light, the Apartment features a single bedroom (with a double bed and two wardrobes), a comfortable living room area (with a double sofa bed), bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen.
The attractive single bedroom is partially separated from the living room by a vertical structure of wooden beams and a vertical rolling blind that provides some intimacy and comfort when the apartment is occupied by more than 2 people.
Being the only apartment on the interior 3rd floor, overlooking the central patio, you will have an unbelievable quiet environment in one of the more lively areas of the city.
In our personal web site (see listing) you can find the exact location of the apartment and the main museums and nearby attractions as well as a plan with the layout of the apartment.
We stayed here for ten days in February and can't
say enough good things about this apartment. It
felt like a home away from home. Hector and Ana,
the owners, are wonderful, and met us upon arrival.
They explained how everything in the apartment
worked, gave us great tips on places to go and on
getting around, and even helped me get my laptop
up and running. They have supplied the apartment
with everything you could possibly need for a
carefree holiday stay. I especially loved the huge
shower and the large fluffy bath towels. As
mentioned in previous reviews, the apartment is
within walking distance of many of the major sights,
shopping, grocery stores, and twenty-four hour
pharmacy. If needed, there is a taxi stand around
the corner and a metro stop a short distance away.
I am already planning another trip to Madrid next
year and will definitely stay in this great apartment!

I am in love with the historic center of Madrid, a lively and extremely interesting area of the city, earmarked to the central Quarter of Literature, where many of the writers of the Golden Century lived and/or worked.
You will enjoy a quiet and cozy environment in one of the more active quarters of the city. Full of daylight and amenities to make your stay unforgettable. You will confirm that reality goes quite beyond what you see in the photographs.
