Vieques for the Week

The place was fairly nice, if not slightly dated. The ammenitites were as expected (nice washer/dryer, satellite). The TV is on the small side (<27"). Lots of pots and pans and the like to make food. Everything that you need. The first aid kit, beach toys, towels, and beach chairs were a plus. The porch is great.
The house has a "casita" that is completely separate from the main house. This would be good for 2 couples, but wasn't really ideal (although fine) for us. Also, the beach by the house is not that great. It is okay to walk, but not good for swimming/snorkeling. It is about a 5 minutes walk. You will NEED a rental car. The beaches to the south are the best, as it is less safe/secluded near town. The house seemed safe and private (although the owner uses an excessive amount of locks).
We enjoyed Blue Beach, so make it there when you get a chance, although all of the beaches to the south (as well as Green Beach) are nice.

Owner's Response: This review was based on 6 young men who stayed in a cottage which is basically set up for 3 couples or a family. I do need to clarify the statement about the beaches on the south being more safe. This is just not true. They are more remote and there is more of an element of risk for belongings to walk away.
