Relaxing New Year's Stay

Three friends from college and I (we're now all in our late 20s), rented this lake house to ring in the New Year. We were looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway and Lake Anna was definitely a good choice.
The owner of the house was extremely helpful and quick to answer any of our questions. He suggested we buy our groceries ahead of time (which we did), but there actually is a town not too far away that has a huge grocery store, CVS, etc.
The house could use a few more items, such as kitchen appliances (no oven mitts, no cheese grater) and bureaus (there was only one in one of the bedrooms) and nightstands (there is plenty of closet space, though). Also, it's good to note that there is no actual dining table inside other than the long kitchen "island", which makes it difficult to have a nicer sit-down dinner. Only some of the windows had blinds (nearly the entire house is windows), which was fine for us, but might disturb others.
In general, the house is probably better for a summer stay since it has limited indoor furniture (but a ton of outdoor furniture). There is cable tv and a sound system, but the decking is what really makes the house unique. I think the house would be especially fun for kids who can play outside and have the energy to run up and down the outside stairs (there are a lot of them)! I would definitely recommend this property for families in the summertime.
