Additional information about rental rates

  • Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice.
    Add 11% sales tax, $200 security deposit which will be returned after unit is inspected.
    In order to confirm a reservation, owner must receive a signed rental agreement, 25% of the total rental amount and the security deposit.
    The remaining 75% of the rental amount is due 30 days before the check-in date.
    Minimum age of 25 for rental.
  • A cleaning fee is assessed for rentals of less than a week. The fee is $40 for 6 night rentals, $80 for 5 night rentals, and $120 for rentals of 4 nights or less.

Our cottage is a ground floor unit that was recently remodeled with new tile, carpet, furniture and paint. It is located in a lushly landscaped 27 acre gated community with 24 hour security. The complex borders the beach thereby avoiding the need to cross busy Highway 98. The seclusion of this community makes it seem a world away from the hustle and bustle of modern day lifestyles, yet it is only a half mile away from the shopping and restaurants of Silver Sands Outlet mall in one direction and Sandestin in the other direction!

Children can play without worry in this controlled access, self-contained community. Let them select from numerous activities within the complex such as basketball, pools, beach, hot tubs, or even stay inside and watch cable television or a DVD. The secluded environment is also perfect for a romantic getaway. And if you just HAVE to periodically check in with work, we provide free high-speed wireless Internet service.

great place for families with 11-13 year old kids

Great place to stay for families with kids in the tweenage range. Older teens will want more "hotel" type entertainment, parents of younger kids may want more kiddie things. I liked that the kids could walk around safely, get to the pool easily, and get back from the beach alone if needed.

I think the DVD collection alone saved us a few hundred dollars on entertainment expenses. We were close (enough) to the Big Kahuna and other Destin attractions, as well as the Crab Trap and Theo's Pizza, while feeling very tranquil.

The owners were friendly and thoughtful, and I am glad we chose this location.
