Enjoy your holiday in central location of Cape Dauphin (20 minute drive to Baddeck) at the base of Kelly's Mountain, in a new lower level suite with over 1000 square feet, with 10ft ceilings, open concept kitchen and living area, one bedroom with queen and single bed in the bedroom and a pull out sofa bed in the living room. There is a large bathroom with large double shower. French doors open onto the beach, with great beach and views of the Bras D'or Lakes from your patio, nice breezes from the ocean. Newly built.

We are located on the New Campbellton Road in the community of Cape Dauphin (population 15 full time residents).

You are on a private sandy beach, you can walk for miles and not see anybody. From Cape Dauphin you can do all your day trips around the island. Down the road there is Kelly's wharf where you can fish mackerel, buy fresh lobster, join in with the cottagers for a bonfire. Close by there is Bird Island boat tours, boat charters and whale watching, world-class golf course (Bell Bay), Highlands National Park, hiking trails, Alexander Graham Bell Museum and historic fortress of Louisbourg. It is 50 minutes from Sydney, 30 minutes to shopping area in North Sydney, 25 minutes to the tourist town of Baddeck.

  • We require a booking deposit of half the rental rate which is non-refundable.
    We offer flexible booking dates (e.g. Monday to Monday, Tuesday to Tuesday, Saturday to Saturday)

Great House!

My wife and I used this property for our honeymoon in 2009. We went there in October and though cool and rainy, this remote beach house was great for our needs. It has modern features and is very cozy. The door opens right onto your own private beach.

The owners are very nice and you couldn't find nicer people than you can in Cape Breton Island. We walked for hours along the cost and hiked to a great waterfall that empties into the sea. We will definitely be back soon!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
