Hauula Cottage Rental Photos and Description
2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 outdoor shower with toilet) sleeps 4
This cozy little beach side cottage, is located across the street from the beautiful beach in Hauula, which is on the Windward coast of Oahu. The cottage is reminiscent of old Hawaii. Originally built in 1946, the cottage was renovated in 2006. It is a little slice of paradise with great views of the mountains out back and the ocean in front.
The beach right across the street is great for swimming--the water is clear and calm. The large yard is great for playing, and there is a patio in the back for barbecuing. You can sit on the front porch and watch the sunrise and the ocean. Or you can hang out under the plumeria tree in the yard and relax. The back bedroom has an air conditioner and there are three ceiling fans. Check out the comments in our reviews!
There is also a great outdoor shower and toilet area. Three boogie boards, snorkels and masks are provided as well as everything you would need to kick back and have a great stay in this very special place filled with aloha.
Feel the Aloha of Old Hawaii: Our cottage is a slice of the past with all of the modern conveniences. We have some restored authentic furniture, plus the latest leather furniture with a look of the 1930's. There are several books about Hawaii as well as visitor guidebooks.

Our family beach cottage.: This cottage has been in our family since the 1960's. It was built in 1946 and has been renovated twice--most recently in 2006. Our children and now our grandchildren enjoy spending time here. There's lots of room in the large yard to play and the beach is right across the street. The street is Kamehameha Highway, the highway that goes almost around the island of Oahu. The beautiful mountains can be seen from the back of the cottage.

Guestbook comments from the owner
Hello to all who pass through this nice treasure by the sea. We were here on August 27, 2007 and at 11:40 pm my wife and I witnessed a full "lunar eclipse". We made wishes for ourselves and a wish for happiness to all who pass through this fine Hauula Sunrise Cottage. The cottage is a fine base to make discoveries in the surrounding beaches, gardens and fun stores and all the wonderfully colorful people. At the early morning tide we saw local fishermen suit up to hunt for bait fish in the tide. We later saw these men use the bait to fish for larger prizes at the point. My daughters and I explored the tide pools and found a red/black striped eel feeding on smaller fishes trapped in the tide pool. Our greatest discoveries were the beaches for my 4 and 7 year old daughters to swim within, boogie board, body surf and..... TAN!May happiness befall all who pass through this cottage. With Our Greatest Thanks,
