Our newly constructed oceanfront home is located on quiet Tondreau Point and offers 200 feet of deep water frontage on Orr's Cove and Quahog Bay. Tondreau Point is a private community of cottages located in Harpswell, Maine - just 30 minutes north of Portland and a short 7 mile drive to Brunswick's Cook's Corner. A mile long peninsula, Tondreau Point is home to a number of year round and summer residences - all constructed with typical New England charm. Your options for summer fun are unlimited. Relax from the privacy of the deck and watch the boats come and go. Or, cast for stripers on your own 20 ft long dock. If boating is your pleasure, you can moor your boat directly in front of the house and explore the surrounding islands and inlets. The cottage was built in 2001 and has all modern amenities including: CATV, Internet, surround sound DVD, and a wood burning stove. Of course, if dining out is on the agenda, you can choose from several quaint Maine establishments.

Notes: The dock can accomodate a 20 ft boat. Center consoles are best suited. There is a mooring off the dock for larger vessels. A dinghy would have to be available for mooring access. Full Size washer & dryer are located in the walk out basement.

About the Cottage: We built our home in 2000. It offers a nice combination of rustic charm, but with all the modern amenities. It's a great place to spend some quiet time, or get on the water and explore Maine's coastline in a small boat.

Tondreau Point is a great family environment. The homes are all recently built or rennovated. This is a great place for adults to relax in privacy or for a family with young children to throw a ball, shoot some baskets or ride a bike.

Nearby Amenities: The Harpswell Public Tennis courts are about a 15 minute drive. There are several nearby public golf courses including: Brunswick Naval Airstation, Brunswick, Topsham and Bath Country Clubs. Kayaks can be rented at the Bailey Island bridge. They give lessons there. It's worth the trip just to see the famous crib bridge. There are many restaurants nearby either out on Bailey Island, South Harpswell, or back into town in Brunswick. Freeport is the home of L.L. Bean and numerous other designer outlets for the shopping enthusiast.

About Tondreau Point: Tondreau Point is a private family community. The end of the point offers outstanding views of Quahog Bay and tidal pools. The small island 50 feet off the point is accessible at low tide. The point is broken into two forks and is a great place to walk or take the kids for a bike ride. You'll love the friendly atmosphere of the residents and their friends. It's a place you can easily get hooked on.

Our Perfect Vacation

My family has been vacationing in Maine for years. We've tried many different locations, but found Cedar Ledge to be the perfect spot. The house is so quiet and beautiful, yet still close to everything you may need. My sons were able to fish while I was able to sit on the deck or anywhere in the house, relax, and still keep an eye on them. The owner was extremely friendly and easy to work for any questions or issues we had. We will book again and again!!!

Wonderful Family Getaway

We've rented in Maine for the past several years, trying out different spots each year, and this house and location are the best by far. We have three young boys and Cedar Ledge is ideal for families. The house is impeccable, nicely furnished and very comfortable with beautiful enclosed and open porches. There is a spacious backyard for kicking the soccer ball around and the dock was perfect for our little fishermen. The kitchen has all the necessities and the grill was so handy for some lazy dinners in. The location is ideal, on a quiet road, but just minutes from shopping, movies and restaurants and a short drive from Freeport and Portland. Everything a Maine vacation getaway should be!

A Wonderful Vacation

Cedar Ledge is beautiful, spacious, and filled with modern conveniences, including WiFi, which made trip planning very easy. We loved the privacy and easy access to the water. The house's centralized location made our day trips to Brunswick, Freeport, and Boothbay a breeze. We felt absolutely at home and spent a lot of quality time on the deck. We couldn't have been our happier with our stay!

We want to spend every summer here!

Every year we came to Maine, our family was able to pinpoint what it was we wanted in our cottage. But we never found it, until we stayed at Cedar Ledge in Harpswell.

No matter what we wanted to do -- from sitting on the porch watching the boats, to kayaking, to playing croquet, to hiking the Giant's Steps, everything was right there. Easy access to Portland, Freeport and Boothbay made day trips delightful. Excellent restaurants and plentiful shopping are even closer.

Cedar Ledge is that rare gem: beautiful, convenient and comfortable. We can't recommend it highly enough.
