3 Bedrooms, 3 Bath Townhome (Sleeps 6)

Wonderful Ocean View! Only the pool separates this condo from the beach. Beach views can be enjoyed from the master balcony and from the living area and screened porch. The pool is just steps away. Well maintained, clean and abundantly stocked, this unit enjoys many repeat renters.

No carpet. Floors are wood, tile and stone: Three full baths, (two remodeled), three bedrooms 2 queen beds, set of twins), all linens provided, and the best location one could hope for within Wild Dunes.

Please note that we have a strict NO PETS and NO SMOKING policy. The unit is located approximately mid way between the reception center at Wild Dunes and the golf course at the end of the island. The beach is wide, and we are not experiencing erosion in front of our unit. This condo is a town house style, with 13 steps into the unit; there are no elevators. Maximum number of adults:6. The unit sleeps 6 (two queens)& a set of twin beds. The sofas are slip covered in white denim, and bedspreads are cotton for easy washing.

We belong to The Sportscard Program, which gives our guests access to the amenities of Wild Dunes Resort.

About Mary Derrick

My husband is a graduate of The Citadel in Charleston. We are both South Carolinians. Though we live 3 hours north of Charleston, it has always been a place to visit and enjoy throughout our marriage. We purchased the unit after years of being renters in Wild Dunes.

Why Mary Derrick chose Isle of Palms

We wanted to be on the beach. We also wanted to be in an area where the density was at a minimum, so finding a beach front condo that isn't in a high rise on beach front was a challenge, and this is the result of our search. We also liked the idea of having Historic Charleston so near by. The shopping and restaurants are wonderful, and it takes 30- 45 minutes to get there, based on the traffic. Our out of state friends could easily fly to the local airport, and be at the condo in approximately 30 minutes from the airport.

What makes this townhome unique

We enjoy the beach, listing to the surf, and just taking it easy. Our daughter loves to play tennis, and our relatives with children love the versatility of the pool and proximity to the ocean. Although we don't golf, many of our relatives and guests do, and have told us that this is one of the most scenic golf courses they have played.

Great view

We really enjoyed our stay here. Great location close to the beach and pool (although the pool temp was too cold to swim in while we were there). The view can't be beat! Only 1/2 mile to all Wild Dunes has to offer. Plenty of space for our family of five. Really nice to be able to use the unit's beach chairs and toys and not have to bring our own. Mary was super helpful when we had questions. Would definitely rent again.

Great Place, Great time!

This condo exceeded our expectations. It was clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The view was fantastic with the pool only steps away. From the sofa in the living you can relax and watch the waves wash in. From the screened in porch out back or the deck off of the master bedroom you can enjoy the ocean air and the sounds of the waves crashing nearby. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and the beds were extremely comfortable.

The owner of this property is very, very nice and helpful. She was accessible and friendly before and after we booked our stay through VRBO. We researched so many places before deciding to stay here and were absolutely thrilled with our decision. If three bedrooms in Wild Dunes is what you are searching for and this isn't one of your prospects, you need to reconsider. We would love to stay here again.

Perfect spring break

We had a wonderful time on our spring break. The condo was clean and bright. The pictures are a good representation. It was perfect for our family. It was very comfortable and homey not too fancy. A great place for a family at the beach. The balcony off the master bedroom was so nice. We could see the beautiful sunrise sky in the morning. It provided a warm spot when the spring breezes got cool at the beach. The two other bedrooms were on the parking lot side of the condo…Great for teens that wanted to sleep in. The screened porch was perfect for an early morning cup of coffee. The location was fantastic. It was easy to get to Mt. Pleasant or Charleston for great meals or groceries. The new Harris Teeter on the island will be a plus when it opens. Mary was very easy and responsive to deal with.

Great Fall Break

My wife and I have been staying at Isle of Palms/Wild Dunes' other locations for 30 years. I will certainly try to stay at this condo again if it is available. My son already wants me to find dates for next summer. Mary allowing prior tenants to leave spices and condiments makes cooking much easier. VERY comfortable beds. Mary as a landlady was very responsive by email and helpful to the family allowing a smooth stay during the fall school break for my teacher son's family that joined us for the week. Our stay was very relaxing with a 17 month old granddaughter enjoying the screened porch if it rained and certainly the beach in nicer weather. We brought sand toys but Mary has some if you forget. Since we had some old Disney VHS tapes in addition to the regular DVDs, it was nice to have a player there. Kid's playground at the tennis center was a convenient walk or bike ride from the condo. WIFI worked to keep me in touch with the office and having long distance phone service was helpful when my ATT cell service for phone was patchy. Great view from deck. The pictures are accurate about the location. I say, "Come and enjoy."

Great Memories Made!

This condo was the perfect place for our recent family vacation. It was our nine month old granddaughter's first trip and she loved it too! An easy drive, near Charleston for great sight-seeing, and so close to the pool and beach. We were delighted to find that the baby monitor had reception at the pool which allowed us to enjoy it while the baby napped. Most days we had the pool all to ourselves and the beach was not crowded at all. Loved watching the dolphins swim by!

The condo was very clean, which was important to us with an exploring baby! It had everything we needed, includeing umbrellas, beach chairs, beach toys, a well-stocked kitchen and extra amenities in the bathrooms. We especially loved having the screened in porch for early morning reading and coffee, plus evening meals when we took advantage of the grill provided and stayed in for the night. For great dining out, don't miss Page's Okra Grill in Mt. Pelasant!

The entire resort area was great for bicycling or walking and we enjoyed feeding the turtles in the canal.

The owner, Mary, was absolutely wonderful to work with and I would definitely recommend this property to others. Can't wait to plan a return visit!

Beach trip

Wonderful experience! Talking to Mary was like talking to a real friend. My friend and I felt like we were in our own home enjoying the screened in porch for mornings and evenings, we liked the environment of it not being so crowded. Mary suggested some restaurants to visit and we were very pleased with the food, this is a wonderful place to get away from it all, very clean and homey.
