My husband and I had a wonderful, romantic stay at the carriage house. The location is terrific - we were able to take bike-riding tours of the city, although if I were to do it again, I would not choose the summer months for this! The little apartment is beautifully decorated and very clean. I would definitely stay here again.
My family and I had a fantastic stay at your Carriage House. This was the vacation well spent and needed. Besides being across the street from Forsyth Park and surrounding stores, the apartment was furnished with modern appliances, washer & dryer and extremely clean!
We truly appreciate your warm kindness and hospitality. I would love to rent this property again soon!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Carriage House. The location was perfect, close to just about everything, and we were able to walk to most every spot, or at least a close trolley stop to hop on for downtown. Diana was exceptionally responsive and working with her was a pleasure. The off-street parking was an excellent bonus in a downtown area. We would definitely consider returning & highly recommend this location.
Just enjoyed my first stay in Savannah's lovely Historic District. Practically lived in Forsyth Park's back yard. Diana's rental was just that close! Really loved the close proximity of the carriage house to A Brighter Day Health Food Store and The Sentient Bean (the coffee house right next door to it) rocks!!! That place has a true Bohemian vibe going on. The carriage house is quaint and is furnished with really nice antiques. I could swear that the mirror Diana has up in that bathroom is a replica of one I remember having in my house growing up. The furnishings were comfortable and "comforting" at the same time. The couch was super comfortable to relax on, especially after long days of walking. Although I did not use the washer/dryer, it was nice to know it was there to use. Bathroom/ fixtures were nice, towels clean as well as floor and surfaces. In my opinion, however, the shower curtain should have been replaced, as it had stains on it. Another concern was the linen for the rollout bed. My sister was making up the bed on our first night and she showed me where the fitted sheet was torn. I'm not really sure how often the pullout bed gets used so maybe it was an oversight. On a more positive note, though, the queen bed in the bedroom was great; not too soft nor too firm. Really appreciated the ceiling fan in there as well. Kitchen has a really nice stove/microwave combo, fridge is large enough to accommodate enough food for an army and plenty utensils. One negative (at least for me). I didn't do as much cooking as I thought I would as there wasn't a saute pan large enough for me. Just a very tiny one. Small enough maybe to fry one egg in. This however, is not a dealbreaker. The backyard to the carriage house is lovely. My only regret is that I didn't get to enjoy it. It looked quite tranquil and inviting. I didn't get to meet Diana personally during my stay but whenever I've called her, she answered whatever questions there were that I had before and/or after I arrived and responded quickly on the rare occasion I called and she was not available. I would not hesitate to stay here once more if ever I traveled to Savannah again.
The property is in a great location at the southern end of Forsyth Park. Short walk to the historical district, shopping and great restaurants. The apartment came with modern, stainless steel appliances. There was even a washer/dryer available for use. There was also parking for our rental car. The space is decorated with southern charm.
Diana was a great host and always reachable. We borrowed her bikes to ride around town several times.
I would definitely rent this property again if I were to make a return trip to the area.
