This House is HAUNTED

Okay…just kidding…this house is NOT haunted; repeat, this house is NOT haunted. I wanted to make sure you read this review.
We had a wonderful stay at Rocky Point. This stay was also our first time to British Columbia (we have traveled many places, New Zealand, Thailand, Greece, Italy, etc). You can’t help but be taken in by the view when you arrive at this house, it is fabulous. The resident deer was lounging on the grounds below the deck (the deer seems to be a weekend guest, he came around each Friday we where there). When you walk in the house, you cannot help but be drawn to the large windows. Every room (except the laundry room and 2nd bath) has a wonderful view.
The house is large with 3 bedrooms and 2 bath. The upstairs master bedroom is a delight; it is large, the bed is very comfortable and there is practically a wall of glass allowing great views. Overall the house is comfortable (not overly formal and not shabby). The kitchen is well appointed, you have everything you need (my only suggestion here is a French Press for us coffee snobs). There are plenty of books, a handful of games, playing cards, puzzles, VHS tapes and DVD’s to allow for a relaxing time. We often sat on the patio reading and sipping wine. The only things you need to bring to the house are your clothes, a car, and food (there are two grocery stores in Sooke, so food is not a problem).
Location: the location of this house is ideal, far enough outside the town (Sooke) so you still feel somewhat remote, but close enough to run into town at the last minute for odds and ends. The house does have neighbors, but you rarely see them. You will probably see wildlife while staying here; as previously mentioned, there is the resident deer and you will likely see seals (or was it sea lions) swimming along (we saw several throughout the week).
As with anything, there can be inconveniences… but none of what I am about to say is a reason not to rent this house. First, as a previous reviewer pointed out, the headroom in the bathrooms is lacking for taller individuals; it is not a big problem, but noticeable. Second, the house is situated along the main road that goes from Sooke, and Port Renfrew. If you are staying during the work week and leave the windows open to fall asleep to the waves, you will be awoken around 4:30 to 5:00AM by the occasional truck and vehicle.
I would recommend this house. Don, the owner, is easy to work with and helpful
