Our mountain cabin is located in the majestic Devil's Gulch Canyon with sounds of the river to complete the scene - an opportunity to get away from it all and yet just 20 minutes to all that Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park have to offer. The cabin is located between the picturesque towns of Glen Haven and Drake, and features a 3-season porch over looking the river, a wood burning stove, and picnic area. This is a great area for fishing (right out the front door), hiking, horseback riding, biking, wildlife viewing, and many other outdoor activities. Our mountain cabin, with breath taking scenery, will provide a memorable family experience.

Glen Haven is located just 12 miles north of Estes Park in the scenic Devil's Gluch Canyon. Glen Haven and Drake both have excellent dining establishments, and the area offers many hiking opportunities and horseback riding facilities. Please note, the map to the right is somewhat incorrect. Our cabin is properly marked with the small blue house,however the circle map is not showing the correct area.

My husband and I stayed at this location from July 4th - July 9th with our teenage son along with our 2 Mothers. This home was very accomodating for all of us and we felt comfortable. Daily we enjoyed feeding and watching the Hummingbirds. This property was very well maintained and even offered extra ammenities.

Memorable experience at a secluded mountain cabin.

We had a wonderful and very memorable time at this secluded mountain cabin. The setting of the cabin is very beautiful and unique. The cabin itself was lovely and well cared for. We too had such fun feeding and watching the numerous hummingbirds. Know that there are 2 different ways to drive from Estes to the cabin. Having a Safeway grocery in Estes is convenient. Be prepared for steps leading to the cabin and steps within the cabin.

I stayed a week last summer and had a great time. The layout of the cabin works well. Its close to rocky mountain national park yet peaceful in the canyon.

My family has been spending a couple weeks every summer in Estes Park for the last 8 years. We just can’t say enough good things about this cabin. We have stayed at other places in or near Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park and this cabin exceeded our expectations and was really better than the information listed here and the description. The owners are the nicest people who went above and beyond providing great customer service and a perfect home away from home for my family. This cabin had more than enough room for myself, husband and our three boys. We loved the short drive into the tiny town of Glen Haven to get some of their famous homemade cinnamon rolls and coming back to the cabin and enjoying them on the three season porch watching the hummingbirds. We liked that it was secluded and quiet and that you can hear the river with the windows open and the fact that it was just a short drive into Estes Park and the RMNP. The boys loved the special "game room" and area that is upstairs. My husband loved the awesome grill outside and the bench next to the 3 season porch where he could sit and read his books and watch the hummingbirds. The best thing I enjoyed was early mornings before the boys were up sitting on the 3 season porch with the windows open with the crisp morning air, listening to the river. It was so peaceful. If you are looking for a spacious, clean, comfortable cabin that is just a short drive from all the wonderful attractions of RMNP and Estes Park, this is the best price, best location and best cabin! We knew by the second day of our vacation this summer that we found our new home sweet home in Colorado and would be booking it every summer!

Our Vacation

The benefits of staying in a cabin rather than a hotel are numerous, it's hard to relax in a single room with 2 beds and a TV (to name one)! We found the accommodations to be very clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The convenience of having a fully equipped kitchen (including grill) was great!
When we decided to go exploring it was just a short drive to some of the most spectacular hiking trails this country has to offer (for all levels of experience). We hiked up to Alberta Falls, Bierstadt Lake , etc. Estes Park was a blast and everyone there was very friendly, pleasant and polite. We found the river walk there to be very unique and pretty as well. There were many more things to do than our schedule would allow and that's our reason to return. Simply put we found the whole area to be relaxing and extremely beautiful.
An unexpected bonus were the Hummingbirds (many many Hummingbirds)! There were 2 species we were able to identify, the Rufus and Black Chinned. The Rufus seemed somewhat more reclusive and more difficult to photograph. The others expressed little fear! They were consuming nearly 2 cups of nectar in a 24 Hr. period, (a lot considering what we're accustomed to).
We spent a great deal of time on the front porch watching the birds relaxing and catching up with each other. What more can be said. When it comes to the quality time we spent together this cabin rental provided us with a quality "home friendly" atmosphere we so much were looking forward to.
