The ‘Casa de los Angelitos’ is managed by the professional bilingual staff of a local management Company. Once you enter the courtyard, you will begin to experience the true style of the “good life” in San Miguel de Allende. Described as one of the most beautiful homes in San Miguel, come and call it your own for a week, month or extended stay. The home is located on Calle Huertas, just a short seven-to-ten minute walk to El Jardin, with plenty of room to park one car in its oversized garage for the use of the guests. The interior of this elegant Spanish Colonial style home features a magnificent living and dining room, an office/den with a new PC and high-speed internet access and extra daybed, as well as four bedrooms, four en suite full baths, two half baths, and four fireplaces (three inside).

All rooms have high ceilings. Three of the bedrooms provide equally good amenities so that two to three couples can enjoy similar, quality accommodations. A fourth bedroom is smaller but attractive and the den provides an additional daybed. All the designer linens are at least three hundred count. The master bedroom contains a king-sized poster bed with a private terrace overlooking San Miguel and the famous Parroquia Church.

The gourmet eat-in kitchen has a warm atmosphere in which the cook prepares memorable Mexican cuisine. The flow of indoor and outdoor living is stunning! All of the rooms open to the central courtyard which puts you at peace with the world among the mature trees, flowers, fountains, and song birds of the Huertas neighborhood. The three outdoor terraces are perfect for quiet enjoyment or colorful entertaining.

The covered outside sala on the second floor lets you enjoy the peace of the day reading or relaxing. From this sala you can continue up to the rooftop deck which has cushioned chaise lounges as well as chairs and a table for further relaxation or entertainment. The view from this deck looks westward at the beautiful churches of the city past Lake Allende into the mountains where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset. Binoculars are also available in the den for use to enjoy the various vistas.

We stayed for 2 weeks in late summer 2009 with 2 other couples. Loved the house - very comfortable for each couple in the bedrooms, but we spent most of our time on the patio. Very comfortable beds and a huge master bath. Mr Mahler and the management company were easy to deal with. I timed a 10 minute walk to the Jardin. The house is on a slope and the last block is definitely uphill, but I enjoyed the exercise walking (my partner preferred walking down and the 25 peso taxi home). We had a car and the roads in Centro San Miguel are very narrow - if you bring a car, I suggest a small one. The house has a garage, but it requires 2 people to park. We brought our goldendoodle and took her to the Parque (4 blocks away) daily. I would definitely recommend this home, especially for 3 couples.
