This Laughlin Street condo is less than 10 minutes walk to the Plaza, on a quiet dead end street nestled in historic South Capitol. The property boasts beamed ceilings with skylights and saltillo tile and carpet floors. There is a new, fully equipped kitchen with a washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave. Firewood is provided for the corner kiva fireplace. Bedrooms are large and comfortable with plenty of closet space. The large private patio is great for enjoying the warm summer nights.

History and Art: Santa Fe is the oldest capitol city and one of the top three art markets in the country. The city is rich in Spanish and Mexican culture and architecture. Dozens of art galleries surround the downtown area. The Georgia O'Keefe Museum is within walking distance. Walk to dozens of restaurants, the neighborhood grocer, the cigar bar and Whole Foods.

Culinary delights: There is no end to dining opportunities for every budget. Walk to a different restaurant for every meal for a week and still not exhaust the possibilities!

Skiing: Ski Santa Fe is 40 minutes from town and Taos Ski Valley is only an hour and a half away. In a few hours you can access the many Southern Colorado ski areas, as well.

perfect casita in Santa Fe

This was a great property for our family--so much better (and cheaper!) than a hotel. The casita was cozy, clean and well-equipped. We cooked a good many meals at home and didn't want for any kitchen supplies. There was a coffee grinder, many pots and pans and serving dishes. The beds were comfortable, the house charming and the small courtyard lovely. From the house, it's a short walk to downtown Santa Fe. There's a playground a block away. We loved having the washer and dryer and we're grateful for the wood supplied for the kiva fireplace. My only criticism? It was a little hard to find at first (but, of course, that meant it was tucked away in a quiet nook of Santa Fe). Get directions in advance, especially if you arrive after dark.
I recommend the casita strongly and hope to be back soon.

Beautiful casita, quiet location, plenty of room

We loved this home, when in Santa Fe for the week, with 2 teenagers. We all had plenty of room and the amenities of home - full kitchen, bath, eat-in dining, HDTV/cable. Having a full kitchen meant we could save money and time by eating in for breakfast and late-night snacks. We spent each day exploring downtown Santa Fe, the area's pueblos and the national parks. The house was very conveniently located, yet is on a quiet cul-de-sac - so no real street noise or traffic. It is beautifully decorated and you get a real sense of the local style. We would definitely return to this house again. And, would highly recommend it to any other travelling family looking for a more pleasant alternative to the smaller hotel rooms available in the downtown hotels.

My home away from home!

I loved staying in this Santa Fe "casita"! It was wonderful to have all the amenities from home and not be cramped up in a hotel room. The pictures and text describe the property exactly as is. I can vouch for the HD TV and cable that is not picture. We were blessed with absolutely perfect weather and spent as much time on the patio as we could, when not touring or eating out.

I would defnitely recommend staying at this property and when I return to Santa Fe I will stay here again.

Be sure to check out the Plaza Diner (10 minute walk) and if you like burgers and milkshakes, go to Bert's Burger Bowl. The buffet lunch at La Fonda was so good we went there twice!

We would recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in Santa Fe. It is by far, the best of the private properties we rented in the United States. The condo is well located with restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The property is well maintained and has been furnished with style. In particular, the kitchen is very well equipped with quality appliances and utensils. We used the fireplace and the wood provided during the week that we stayed. Although there are also gas heaters that keep the condo warm, being able to have a fire in snowy weather is really special - especially when you come from the tropics.

Great Property

This property was just perfect for our stay in Santa Fe. The house was so well furnished and the kitchen had state-of-the art appliances. It was very roomy for two people and even had a washer and dryer. We also enjoyed the private patio complete with gardens and birdfeeders. I would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting to enjoy the comforts of home with a great location so close to town.
