This majestic, stone, colonial mountain home was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's concept of 'Organic Architecture' featuring PURE-ORGANIC building materials from the earth: STONE and WOOD...the essence of Stonewood Lodge! Hand built from 250 tons of split and shaped natural, native stone. Finished in a 'Craftsman Style' with gorgeous, indigenous PENNSYLVANIA HARDWOODS HARVESTED FROM THE PROPERTY ITSELF...the metaphor of permanence resonates in an authentic 'Built by Owner' style reminiscent of an era gone by.

The home's interior living space was designed to bring elements of Nature indoors. Wonderful Wildlife Sighting!

This is such a beautiful home! We were lucky to see a bear on our first and last night here...amazing! Everything about the house suited our family get together. The camp fire, pool table, hot tub were certainly the hit! Thank you Jim and Suzanne for your hospitality and great suggestions!

Serene Setting

Stonewood Lodge is truly a thing of beauty! The serene setting coupled with the magnificent home made for a wonderful visit! We so enjoyed your beautiful home and your hospitality. This was a Milestone Birthday celebration for us all. Could not have been a better place to gather. We plan to return. Thank you for everything!
