Welcome to our little beach getaway. We survived Ike! We offer a 3 bedroom, 3 bath Cottage that was built in 2006 and is located inside the Pointe West Resort, at the west end of Galveston. The beach is less than 50 yards away from the cottage, with a nice walk-over bridge. The water is beautiful and very child friendly. Access to the Pointe West Beach Club and infinity pool is also available at no added cost. Please no pets and no smoking.

Galveston island is approx. 60 miles from the Houston Airport. Once you reach the island turn onto 61th street and turn right at the seawall. Another 18 miles and you reach Pointe West Resort and you are there.

Downstairs is the kitchen, living room, dining room, full bathroom and kid's bedroom. The kitchen if fully equipped with granite countertops, refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, blender, toaster, coffee maker, pots, pans and kitchen utensils. All servings for are for eight. There are two barstools at the counter. The dining room table seats eight. The living room includes a comfortable couch with 2 easy chairs, cable TV, DVD and small portable CD/radio. This room opens out to a large balcony which overlooks a lagoon, which provides for beautiful bayside sunsets and a partial ocean view. There is also a patio dining set for six.

The kid's bedroom contains a twin over full bunk bed and a futon that folds out to a double bed. The room also has a TV with DVD player. Upstairs is the Master Bedroom which contains a King size bed and cable TV/DVD. It has a large bathroom with shower,jacuzzi tub and a walk in closet. The room opens out to a large balcony that over looks the lagoon and evening sunsets. There is a two chair bistro patio set on the deck. The third bedroom has a queen bed and a partial view of the ocean. It has it's own bathroom with shower. The home has central air and heat. There is a washer and dryer, an iron and ironing board, and each bathroom in the cottage has a blow dryer. Linens are provided.

This house is Awesome! Rental terms, owner, and landlord are just as great!

The owner was very helpful in answering my questions about the island/home and what was and wasn't available following the storm. To our pleasant surprise, most tourist attractions were all geared up. The owner was great to work with and accommodating of my unique circumstances. Same can be said for the landlord. She offered tips about what was up and running, the house, and most everything you would need to know when renting the beach house.

The ammenities were fantastic. The "Beach Club" was where we spent most of our time and it was clean, family oriented, and lended an aire of "exclusive resort" accommodations. The kids and adults loved it equally!! Likewise, the community that the home is located in is also very nice. We were able to bike from the home to the Beach Club along paths that kept us off of major roads. The community was well maintained as was the private beach serving the community.

The home itself is even better than the pictuers. It was clean and well maintained. It's also more spacious than the pictures demonstrate. Everything that you would need in a rental was provided. It was such a nice home to come to after long hours out and about. Beds/bedrooms were comfortable/spacious, the bathrooms provide great privacy, and the dining accommodations fully support occupancy comfortably.

Overall, the stay was fabulous! It was so nice not to have to worry about accommodations that we were able to just relax and enjoy our summer vacation! We'll definitely rent this property again. Thanks!!

This is a very nice, well-kept cottage in a beautiful part of West Galveston Island. The beach was wonderful. The house was clean and the living arrangements were great. Our family of ten went - six adults, four children (two of which were 2 and under) and the house accommodated us very well. It is 18 miles from the main part of Galveston, so you want to plan grocery shopping, etc. carefully. The children really enjoyed the resort pools - especially the lazy river.
