Cabin by the Lake comfortably accommodates 8 adults with 4 bedrooms and a separate loft with a sleeper sofa. It also has 3 custom built bathrooms, of which two have walk-in showers. Tongue and groove ceilings and hardwood flooring throughout gives an elegant and relaxing setting. For our guest, this cabin also offers a spacious and well lighted paved private driveway. Breathtaking Getaway

My family and I had a wonderful and relaxed weekend staying in the beautiful, warm and luxurious cabin by the lake. There wasn't anything that we needed or wanted that was not provided in the lovely home.
We are so glad that we chose to go and will go back again as it is a great halfway point for my husband and I to meet our daughter and family for a visit.
The personal detail that is in this lovely home is so warm and inviting. We can't wait to see all of our pictures so we can always have a wonderful memory of our time together.
Oscar you were right, a few days just isn't long enough to be able to fully enjoy it all.
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful mountain home.
I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone that wants to stay in luxury and have all your needs met for a wonderful vacation get away.
Everything being clearly marked and labeled was an immense help in getting everything to work properly. The tvs and computer were just such a plus. Everyone having their own room and bathroom facility was just such an extra bonus. The completely equipped kitchen with all the best appliances and utensils, the beautiful glasses and dishes were just outstanding. Everything from toothpicks to large pressure cookers provided made everything so easy and accessible to make an easy dinner or meal or a gourmet meal. The dishwasher of course just made clean up a snap.
We can't wait to be able to go back! Thank you Oscar for calling us the day we arrived to make sure everything was ok.

Wonderful time despite weather

The seven of us were fortunate enough to stay at Cabin by the Lake over this past fall week. Though the weather was not cooperating, the views and splendor of the NC mountains were still more than sufficient for our vacation. This house had everything we needed in terms of "escaping from it all". Everything was top notch, well kept, and beautifully decorated. The fuzball (sp?) table was a bonus as my 7 year old son had never played before. Having a fireplace that wasn't gas was awesome. And having internet connection so that my husband could still work for a few hours every morning] was also terrific.
The proximity to Boone and Blowing Rock gave us plenty to do. We truly had a great time. Thanks Oscar!

We just got back from a vacation from the cabin with our family. It is a very well decorated and relaxing getaway. The rooms and kitchen is also very well appointed. Great for a family getaway.We will surely visit the Cabin again.

A Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful time, the cabin was everything that was advertised. It was especially relaxing and refreshing NOT to have cell phone service! The views while hiking around the development was beautiful. Tubing on hte New River was a ton of fun, and the evening events at the Todd General Store were a blast. They get everyone involved and the music was super. The art shops in West Jefferson had a lot to offer. Fraser's servered an excellent meal. We played golf at Mountain Aire, gave us a real appreciation for real "mountain golf", the views were tremendous and the elevation changes made the course a real challenge.

I recommend Cabin by the Lake for anyone looking to getaway with their family. The cabin provided a relaxing mountain setting, while having all the necessary ammenities to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Oscar and Maria have gone to extreme lengths to build and decorate this gorgeous cabin. My family appreciated their hospitality!!!
